With violence happening so often in schools across the country.Children 12 and under bringing weapons to school with the intent to harm one or more students and teachers. When should parents be held accountable for their children's actions?
When a child 12 and over gets a gun from their home with the intent to kill should the parent/s be held accountable for their children's actions.I realize parent/s of these children have to live with the actions of what their children have done like the parents of the Columbine High School boys and the more recent 14 yr old boy in Cleveland Ohio, but living with the results of their actions is that enough in your opinion. Is that enough to make you as parent/s or even young adults feel secure in your environment?Do you think the parents of these children should be punished as accessories to their children's crime/s?Especially if said weapon/s came from their own home?

is it the only way to bring about peace?

The US has watched countless wars go out of control.

Rwanada - 800,000 dead
Liberia - 200,000 dead
Sierra Leone - 75,000 dead
Somalia - they are still blasting each other.

Liberia was founded by freed American slaves. America did little, militarily, to quell the violence. Countless conflicts around the world have been allowed to fester while the US government abdicates its responsibility. Can this be morally justified? Is it just simply not our business?

The US gov (as well as the UN) allows problems to escalate into full scale crises and until genocide is reached.

What's your opinion?

i saw a news story about how the soliders who come back from war don't get the kinda of help they deserve. It talked about how the famlies of soliders who die in war don't get much help. Than i read a story about all the money the U.S government gives multi-millions to other countries. What I wanna know is, when are the people in this country gonna wake up and think about their own?

Liberals? Conservatives? I don't see what national interest is served by the resolution before the U.S. Congress which denounces Turkey for war crimes committed a century ago. Why now? Haven't we got more immediate concerns in our relationship with Turkey?

Have I just missed all the reports over the years of people being maimed by Christmas street lights? This is obviously a massive problem, otherwise, why would these ridiculously extreme measures be called for now? I evidently missed all the reports of street displays pulling chunks out of buildings too... I had no idea that these displays posed such a risk to public health and safety!
How many claims EXACTLY have been filed to justify the huge cost of insurance? Could anyone direct me to the statistics?

While the MAIN SUSPECTS in the case of missing Madeleine McCann are living it up as VIP's with celebrity staus, and a million in the bank in the UK, over in Portugal they leave a trail of ruined lives in their wake.

We read that Robert Murat, who was implicated by the McCanns friends, told BBC News: "It's been five months, my savings have gone, mum's doing what she can, and it's just very, very difficult."

His relative, Sally Eveleigh, added: "There's no evidence against him, he hasn't seen his daughter for over five months, he has no finances now - all his savings have gone - and he needs to rebuild his life. His life is on hold."

We also read that those friends and business contacts of Robert have also had trouble.

Once Robert Murat is cleared and the real culprits in this case brought to justice, who should Robert Murat sue for compensation ?

Light-eyed individuals and even light-eyed animals perform better at behaviors requiring delay, self-pacing, or non-reactors, while dark-eyed individuals and animals perform better at behaviors requiring speed, sensitivity or reactivity.

As many of you are aware, Al Gore has recently received the Nobel Peace Prize for helping the world realize the potential destructiveness of global warming. Do you think he's doing this because he wants to gain a reputation, or does he actually care about the issue?

NO - I'm not a racist, I'm not even all white myself, but what's fair is fair, and why shouldn't those hoodlums go to jail?????????? so weird....

Senator "Dingy" Reid recently got up on the senate floor and denouced Rush Limbaugh for calling soldiers who speak out against the war "phoney." This was however, proven very false. In fact Reid was sited as saying that Rush was talking about 3 soldiers mentioned in a New York times article. However, that article did not run till the following day. So since we see the "Dingy" Reid was wrong and the media was wrong and "Media Matters" was wrong. Why hasn't Reid appologized for insulting a private citizen on the hollowed halls of the Senate floor?
