Liberals? Conservatives? I don't see what national interest is served by the resolution before the U.S. Congress which denounces Turkey for war crimes committed a century ago. Why now? Haven't we got more immediate concerns in our relationship with Turkey?

Misty Blue: what the U.S. Congress is doing is moral posturing at the worst possible time. Of course we care about moral principles, but that doesn't mean we should throw pragmatism out the window!

The Armenian lobby is quite powerful in the US. It is the diaspora and there are more Armenians in it ( out of their country) than are in Armenia. It is like the Cuban lobby who is also keeping the sanctions on Cuba alive. It is like the AIPAC( favoring Israel ) Lobby. They all force our Congress ( paid for with our tax dollars) to do what they want. They are Americans second.

Denouncing Turkey? Another Democratic Party attempt to harm Bush. Genocide happened 100 years ago.
Why not denounce Germany for genocide during the WWII?

Democrats who are taking the sneaky way out of the Iraq war. Turkey is a major ally for us and helps with the supply chain to our soldiers stationed in Iraq. The sponsors of this resolution are cowards who are trying to undermine our president and our military forces for their own selfish interests.

Its another ploy by the Democrates trying to stir up more problems we dont need.....trying to find more excuses to stop the war in Iraq and pushing to a pull out date !! which would embolden our enemys....with the cry another Veitnam where politicians decided targets and when and where are soldiers were able to fight or run !!! Iraq is not Veitnam ask any Veteran of that war and they will tell you....so Liberals.....give it a rest and quit trying to cause more problems to try and get your agenda across........Democrats.....get of of it and MOVE ON !!! and stop the lies......and republicans.....get over yourselfs.....and your riches and help the poorer more......and for the rest of us........Stop watchin the bias media which keeps on harpin on this mess......and e-mail them and write them then quit watchin them..........then they maybe will get the message !!!!!!

So when is good for you guys?
Would you all listen to yourselves.Me,me,me,me,me.What's in Americas interest, not what is right and what is wrong.Pull your heads out of you backsides for a minute and remember all of mankind matters, not just America. What the U.S.wants or can screw out of everyone else seems to takes precedence over everything as far as I can see. You've lost your souls.
