Interesting study (apparently a few of these researchers have come to the same conclusion)

Light-eyed individuals and even light-eyed animals perform better at behaviors requiring delay, self-pacing, or non-reactors, while dark-eyed individuals and animals perform better at behaviors requiring speed, sensitivity or reactivity.

I have brown eyes, I noticed I am very fast, have good hand eye coordination and I have met some blue eyed or hazel eyes people who are indeed smarter than me. Whats your take on this study?

That's interesting. I think they need to conduct some more studies. I wonder about people with light brown eyes or dark blue eyes.

It's genetic. I have seen it also. We have one horse who we agist here who has that (amazing isn't it!) Another answerer explained it very well. It's just like having a totally blue eye. They're not blind, it's when in the womb, they couldn't make colour (like white horses) It had a 1/2 and 1/2 gene where It could make some colour, but not all of it. The part it did make, is the brown part. The horse we have at our stable, is amazing, he is steel grey and about 17hh. He is an excellent horse. Very expensive too! (hah!)

That's interesting.....I guess I do lean more toward the light-eyed behavior in some ways. I have green eyes =) I only know a few people with brown eyes and they're all really smart though.

Coming from the "Blue eyed Babe"!!!! "wink wink"
(I really do have wonderful blue eyes!)
Dark-eyed people seem to be taking offense at this. Hey I AM AS SLOW as molasses.....but I do pace my self well and get the job done by the end of the day. I have been know to do that very well!!!!! Not ashamed of it one bit!

What about people with dark blue or gray eyes? Technically, they could be considered to be light-eyed because they don't have brown or black eyes but their eyes look quite dark anyway.

Bottom line there is, there is no scientific proof that this premise is true. One more time, a bunch of men got together and spent some grant money they conned some foundation out of and wasted a lot of time to come up with a ridiculous conclusion. Heaven help us.

It is without doubt completely true. I would see on average blue eyed people are smarter, more attractive, far more successful and have a superb dress sense. Indeed they are much nicer people by far than their brown eyed peers.

I don't know how much validity I'd give to this study, as I've not researched it. I have blue eyes and I was valedictorian of my high school class. But somehow I don't think my eyes have anything to do with my intelligence, since I was blind until after I graduated high school. 2D

About time you brown-eyed people figured out what we have known for years... guess that comed from you not being as smart.

i dont think so. u can't judge a person by looking at the colours of their eyes, that discriminating! everyone is good in something because of their natural ability to do so, or based on their experience and knowledge not depending on any physical element..God has given us our own uniqueness regardless of what colour is our skin, what religion we are in, what country do we live in, our race, etc.. it's up to us to find that identity uniqueness and make full good use of it for the betterment of our human race globally... =)
