Of course they will. Then they will have all that overtime pay for Christmas. In the new year the cost of a stamp will rise to pay for it!!

Well that remains to be seen-at best without the strike I get a delivery at about lunchtime. Some letters have taken days to arrive. Some of them even come to the right address, the others I deliver myself. In the last fortnight I have had 3 letters. Normally I get at least 3 every day. I have no faith in the royal mail at all. It used to be excellent, early morning and mid-day. Now,I don't trust it, and I would resent them getting overtime money for doing what they should hove been doing in the first place.

I wish they would start delivering the back log all we are getting at the moment is the most recent mail. The backlog according to our news is sitting in depots rented for the purpose awaiting to be sorted.
I know I have assorted letters in there somewhere and some are vitally important financial ones not work related.
I wonder if we could all sue the Royal mail after all its illegal to interfer or tamper with delivery of mail and aren't they doing that !!!

overtime stopped, Royal Mail being petty and childish in not letting willing workers do their job and get the mail moving again. having lost a days pay for every day on strike many are taking second jobs to help pay the bills, so don't say postmen are lazy, it only shows how ignorant you are.

The Mr/Mrs/Ms/Sr/Srs/Herr etc... average postie wants overtime wages for everyday pay. What makes them so special??? o.k its shitty hours but so is working in hospitality, the worst exploited profession in the world. They, like us chefs know that our working hours are not 9 til 5. Do like I do and don't rely on royal mail, a courier service is reliable and traceable. If something was important it would NOT be sent via royal mail....Look on the bright side, it has cost them more than us...anyone who gets the bills by post you have a wonderful excuse....lol

They are keeping everthing in a nice coloured envelope that resembles a birthday card, pocketing the fivers from Great Aunt Tina and just hoping everyone assumes they got lost in the back log.
You aren't going to phone Great Aunt Tina and ask her if she remembered to post your card with the fiver in it are you?
They need to make up for the lost wages somehow.

Hah - tend to agree with Kmran!! however, my postie is great - shame about the rest of them
Wish someone would come up with some sort of competition to Royal Mail, which incidentally we all used to own once.

Probably and you can be assured that in the not too distant future postage will go up again to pay for their losses.
