Not really.
But then again, if you examine the Nobel Peace Prize, you will find that it is used for nothing but political gain.
Yasser Arafat won the Prize in 1994.
He was a terrorist who killed Jews.
Sure, he's just one person on a long list.
But that doesn't really say anything good about the Nobel Peace Prize, now does it?
Besides, what did Al Gore really do, other than make people think that their children are going to die because "they didn't listen to what the earth was trying to tell us" & gain some celebrity status? Psh. Show me someone who feeds children in Africa. Show me someone who doesn't preach about conserving fuel & then flies around in his own private jets.

Nope, don't think he deserved it. There were others who deserve the recognition more. All he is doing is fostering hate & discontent because he is encouraging zealots to silence those who disagree or challenge the theories of global warming. In addition, he is a hypocrite for suggesting that we go "green", yet he still goes around in a private jet, doesn't have a "green" house, & owns gas guzzling vehicles.

What peace has he brought? All he did was brainwash people into thinking they were all going to die if they used the wrong light bulb.
I'm sure he is enjoying it all the way to the bank...and not from the money he would receive but from the interests he has in the companies who are bound to make billions when laws are enacted to change our lifestyle.
In short..no.

Yes. Afterall, His getting it got YOUR attention- didn't it? And THAT'S part of the POINT of getting that Prize; to make people AWARE on a World Wide basis- that SOMEONE has done SOMETHING to make the World- a better place. And THAT'S what Al's been doing... :)

Uh....compared to who? He has certainly spent more of his time in the last 10 years actually studying something that might effect the entire planet, compared to what I've done in the last 10 years.
However, I do try to recycle....when it's convenient....
What about you? ;)
