What is so terrible about people being fat. I think they are trying to relate the term "obesity" to people who are just plump too.
I am not fat myself (12 stone and 5 foot 7) but I feel the government and medias obsession on this issue makes those who are into social outcasts and young girls into anorexics.
The government claims it is equal to climate change in its importance - what a load of bollocks.

THE BEST NEWS IN A WHILE, AND NOT A BEEP FROM THE ARABS.
NEW YORK — An Israeli airstrike on Syria last month targeted a partially built nuclear reactor that was years away from completion, the New York Times reported Saturday, citing U.S. and foreign officials.

The report said President Bush's administration had intense discussions with the Israeli government before the strike and U.S. officials were divided over whether it would be premature.

Syrian President Bashar Assad has said Israel bombed an "unused military building" in the Sept. 6 raid. Israel has been extremely secretive about the affair. It only recently relaxed censorship to allow Israel-based journalists to report that Israeli aircraft attacked a military target deep inside Syria.

is so much unjust in this world at the moment, and the one thing Mr Brown can do, is to allow parents the right of knowledge, the god given right to protect their children, and stop hiding the animals that live amongst us. I don't want a witch hunt, or to go on a vigilante manhunt, all I desire is to know if a paedophile lives in my local area. Children need protecting, and if we knew that info, everyone would be extra careful of the little cherished ones.

or hear on the news?

If your open minded and have any humanity, decency or compassion in you ,you're in for a lot of grief. If you swallow all that you read or hear and state the press as fact you get a big following of supporters who agree with you.

So with this in mind

Do you believe all that you read in the press or hear on the news?

why would congress ever do such a thing when Turkey told them from the start that if they did they would turn against us? They even threatened to attack Iraq.
Do the Democrats think this is worth shoving something in Turkey's face that happened 90 years ago even though its going to completely destabilize the region and cause us to lose a key ally throughout the last 60 years?
Its not like its helping anybody, it can and will only make things worse.

It seems to be that the recent popularity for the democrats (as presidential candidates) is based on an a merely EMOTIONAL reaction the state of US affairs under the Bush presidency....

My question is specifically addressed to those who want to replace the Bush presidency with another presidency that happens to be Democrat:

Why do you think that Bush must be replaced by a democrat?
HOW is it that a TOTALLY different president and administration (that say, happens to be republican) be a continuation of Bush presidency?

Bush's faults in Iraq and Katrina had nothing to do with him being a republican, and much to do with an arrogant man, a delusional man, a man that has a poor capacity to organize (think of the intellect of a chess player...well, that ain’t Bush)...What is the thinking behind this pro-democrat sentiment (as a reaction to Bush)...Is it that they think that all Dems are inherently less delusional & arrogant and thus all problems caused by presidential arrogance & ineptitude can be reversed?

Therefore, isn't this latest flop to Dem popularity just an emotional over reaction (To a "republican") on the part of the USA people, or does the rationale go deeper?

[Republican, Democrat, makes no difference to me, I JUST WANT WHAT’S BEST FOR AMERICA, AND I’M JUST TRYING TO GET REAL ANSWERS ABOUT THE LATEST POPULAR SENTIMENT]

Today I heard the most prominent NBC reporters giving their opinions on what are the duties of the candidates for president. The first thing that came to my mind was that those reporters are employees of NBC/GE corporation. They are not independent thinkers free to tackle any issue. Some issues are off limits to them and the scope of those issues they tackle is also limited. They are also more concerned with the show and their advertisers than they are with the issues that concern the American people.
