It is win-win. They pander to a small group of Armenians that have been pushing this forever and at the same time if they can make things in Iraq a little more unstable they stand a better chance in '08.

you might want to restate your quearey...I personally havent heard anything about the 'american slave trade' or "indian wars"...lately. Just the ARMENIAN bit....and it's B.S.. you're right that it's perplexing...did we have anything to do with the Armenian massacre...I doubt it...not sure though...but it's a mute point to pass some peice of legislation about someone elses PAST errs...probably a rider on the bill to appropriate more cocaine money for whitehouse staff members!

I think it is an attempt to show the world that we Americans have "learned from our mistakes".
I have to agree with the policy to some degree. It was genocide to kidnap, murder, and force into slavery (for over 400 years) a substantial percentage of the African population. And, too, removing the Native Americans from their homelands and killing those who refused to go willingly.
But, as usual.....It's a case of "Too little too late".
