You have not specified it but I believe the incidents relates to the disappearance from the hired bedroom of the daughter of the MacFanns some time back.You have referred to her body being thrown into a like .I have not heard that the body was recovered from a lake. I believe that youhave referred to this possiility to explain her vanishing thinking that she may be lying at the bottom of a lake tied down with a stone. Unless thebody is recovered of has been recovered this is just a conjecture More specific is the find of her hair in the hired car which carried the MacFinna bacck and this hair tallied with her DNA. However, the MacFanns seem to be strangely reluctant to obey the summons of the Poutuguese police in this regard. On the other hand the relucance of the Police to accept the professed help by the British police also creates doubts.It is quite probable that as alleged the girl was heavily sedated so that the MacFanns party an go on unhindered and found her dead on coming back(Some say her bod was found on the staircase where she seems to avee collasped. She might have half woken up on hearig some suspicious sound and tried to e esca;e through the staircase and but could not make it because of heavy sedation) To avoid sc scandal the MacFanns have spread this rumour of her being snatched away.The one witness who said e had seen somebody carrying a body covered with a white cloth has not be pursued further by the Police for identification. The other lead of her having been seenor some likeness of her) has also not been pursued. The whole matter stinks Your theory of her being snatched away by somebody itself is just a conjecture and the making her disdappear by dumping her into a lake is based on this presumtion.

Jack H - you forgot that while the abductor walked in the front door that was not locked, the abductor, carrying Madeleine, the blanket and the bloodstained shoe, and the materials he/her wiped up all the blood with, then jimmied the shutters and climbed out of the window. Then had to wait around to ensure that nobody else except Jane Tanner (of circa 'Tapas 9' infamy) saw him/her carrrying the body. Note that he/her dodged Mr Wilkins seeing him/her by using some sort of stealth cloak.

If anyone knew how Madelene disappeared we would still not be debating this today. Do not see any point in this question as it would seem the Poruguese Police were just thinking out loud in their statement as they do not know. It could be Madelene wandered from the apt to her fate which rules out anyone had the expertice to remove her from the actual apt. Probably unlikely but the fact is no one knows.

News of the worl d today reckon she MUST have been kidnapped cos cuddle cat was found on a high shelf where Maddy can't reach and the bed sheets were still tucked in...I interpret this to mean that the kidnapper (although he knew the McCanns could return at anytime) carefully made the bed back up and put the cat on the shelf..AS IF!!! Would a kidnapper really stop to put the childs comforter on a shelf? These stories get more ridiculous every time I see them. The more the McCanns remember about that night, the more they drop themselves in it. Or is the papers getting it constantly wrong and dropping the McCanns in it. Who knows? One day I am sure all will be revealed

I did see that quote today in one of the media outlets. I thought it was dumb and showed the lack of intelligence of the Police. It makes no sense whatsoever in revelence to the investigation. Or to life, for that matter.
It's impact and sensibility are useless.
