why would congress ever do such a thing when Turkey told them from the start that if they did they would turn against us? They even threatened to attack Iraq.
Do the Democrats think this is worth shoving something in Turkey's face that happened 90 years ago even though its going to completely destabilize the region and cause us to lose a key ally throughout the last 60 years?
Its not like its helping anybody, it can and will only make things worse.

I would not put it above some politicians to do such a thing. Since they could not get legislation passed to force the Bush Administration out of Iraq, this is someone's indirect way of causing problems. Whoever was behind this is a fool and, in my opinion, not very partiotic. I'm not putting down the Armenians and their cause, but I don't think it is right for congress to use the Armenian tragedy of many, many decades ago as a back handed way to leverage U.S. Foreign policy.

I understand what your saying but, it would be hard to believe that all of Congress would take part in a conspiracy like this, that would mean 400 or 500 people, wouldn't you think it would get out and be public?

I don't know but I wish america would be more careful about who they mess with, esp in areas where they may not be affected but their Soldiers and the People that they now owe a responsibility to do get affected by.
