The CIA, its goals and what it is doing does not coincide with the definition of terrorism, so why did Iran label the CIA as such? It seems very illogical to me.

The FDIC only insures up to $100,000. $109 million of Americans money was not insured and is lost. Hope your money is not in this bank. Who will be next to go? Are you sure your bank is safe or does it have dirty little secrets of it's own.

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - President Hamid Karzai on Saturday offered to meet with the Taliban leader and give militants a government position only hours after a suicide bomber in army disguise attacked a military bus, killing 30 people - nearly all of them Afghan soldiers.

Strengthening a call for negotiations he has made with increasing frequency in recent weeks, Karzai said he was willing to meet with the reclusive leader Mullah Omar and Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, a former prime minister and factional warlord leader.

"If I find their address, there is no need for them to come to me, I'll personally go there and get in touch with them," Karzai said. "Esteemed Mullah, sir, and esteemed Hekmatyar, sir, why are you destroying the country?"

Karzai said he has contacts with Taliban militants through tribal elders but that there are no direct and open government communication channels with the fighters. Omar's whereabouts are not known, although Karzai has claimed he is in Quetta, Pakistan, a militant hotbed across the border from Afghanistan's Kandahar province.

"If a group of Taliban or a number of Taliban come to me and say, 'President, we want a department in this or in that ministry or we want a position as deputy minister ... and we don't want to fight anymore,' ... If there will be a demand and a request like that to me, I will accept it because I want conflicts and fighting to end in Afghanistan," Karzai said.

"I wish there would be a demand as easy as this. I wish that they would want a position in the government. I will give them a position," he said.

The U.S. Embassy in Kabul has said it does not support negotiations with Taliban fighters, labeling them as terrorists, although the U.N. and NATO have said an increasing number of Taliban are interested in laying down their arms. NATO's ambassador to Afghanistan, Daan Everts, said this month that the alliance would look into the possibility of talks.

President Bush met with Karzai on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly in New York on Wednesday where the two discussed the battle against al-Qaida and the Taliban, but it has not been made public whether the two talked about negotiations with militants.

terror do you anticipate? They aren't going to be able to fight us head to head. Do you think Syria might jump in to the mix? Will we be on our own, or are there any allies that would come to our aid?

Official estimates suggest 1,000 children or teenagers go missing every year, but there's no coverage of their cases. I thought that part of the funds being raised by the McCanns was meant to help other parents who'd lost children.
Where are the front page stories for others? Or is it that the media don't really care about finding children, they're just interested in fuelling stories about the McCanns for their own profit.

Kate and Gerry have time and again told us that they have been fully co-operative in helping the Portuguese Police to investigate the case of their missing daughter. 'Fully co-operative when it canme to pointing the fingers at others (including Robert Morat) but not so co-operative when it came to answering questions about themselves. In Portugal they refused to answer 40 questions put to them. Now those questions have been sent to the UK for the British Police to try.

Will the British get answers when the Portuguese did not ?

There is no way that with the world focused completely on them that they could have hidden and buried the child without help. Did one or more of the tapas 7 bury her for them while they, and all the press, were out of the country. Did one or more of them help conceal the body? If so, who do you think it was?

It's just a theory folks.

apperently she is applying for parole and under some new law and stands a good chance of gaining her freedom.

We read that 'Kate and Gerry McCann could face 12 months in prison if they speak out'.

I have the greatest respect for the Portuguese, their Police and their laws. But how is it possible to get 12 months for speaking to a newspaper or TV presumably for contempt of court, but yet get no sentence for serial child neglect leading to the loss of a child under 4 ?

If there were 3 little sleeping alone, why the kidnapper only took Maddie? If they were dealing with traffic of children, the normal thing would have been to take the 3 of them, not just the eldest.

The kidnapping theory doesn't work, it's just plain common sense.

Time and again the press like to compare the PFJ to something akin to Manuel from Fawlty Towers. Just the other day, Team Mc Cann stated that they have had P.I.s involved in the search for Maddie since MAy. Well if they so called experts in tracing people are so good, why have they not found any trace of the wee girl?

when was the last time you saw a council house estate built?

i reckon none of you will be able to say you have seen it if gordon wants to help people get houses here is an idea instead of being greedy and selling public land to large housing frims who cram as many houses as possible together for maximum profit how about they just build more council house where people can rent with the right to buy after 3 years! plus there should be certain rules such as the amount of time you have been in the country you cant have owned your own house within the last 3 years that will stop the rich and the unscrupulous landlords cashing in as usual! just a thought what are your opinions and if you dont like the question simply dont answer it!!!!!

Thought I'd clear that up before people moaned about it being McCann related! I've watched the story unfold with a fairly open mind. I tend to be an asker, not a judger. I always felt though that there were a lot of questions that still needed to be asked and answered about the case. I came across this video and I think it has really summed up many of my, and other people's thoughts on the case. I'm interested to know your views on the film and its content and whether you think there are other questions that should be raised?

It also has beautiful music and when the song came on, yes I did cry for her
