The CIA, its goals and what it is doing does not coincide with the definition of terrorism, so why did Iran label the CIA as such? It seems very illogical to me.

Its very simple. because since Bush came on power, it keeps labelling iran as a "terrorist sponser" we know its bull because he states any nation he dislikes (he did it to iraq too) as "terrorists" and it recently came to a point where Bush decided to label the revolutionary guards as terrorists too thats why the retailiated. PLus the americans often takes iranians in iraq which are there for official reasons as prisoners and often sends UAVs to iran. Check out the Y!news there miht be more reasons why they did it
But mainly its because of BUSH's treatment towards Iran so...
we know whos at fault here

You need to be more precise. The Iranian parliament, in a nonbinding, resolution labeled the CIA and Army as terrorist organizations. This is because the US Senate, in a nonbinding resolution, labeled the Iranian Republican Guard as a terrorist organization just a few days ago. It is true, though, that the CIA was involved in a plot to overthrow the democratically elected prime minister of Iran, Mohammad Mosaddeq, in 1953.

Each nation can have its own rules for defining what is a terrorist organization. Some of the labeling can be based in logic, and some in international politics.

Let's look at it logically. Once upon a time Iran had a nice king who was nice to his people, really tried to see that the wealth of the nation was shared by all the people. But because that attitude sounds socialistic, and because the west at one time claimed to hate socialism, and because some big oil companies hated paying taxes to two bit nations, they went to USA and Britain and lobbied the government to do a regime change in Iran.

So the government of Iran got changed to a guy called the Shah of Iran, who was a ruthless dictator, who tortured and massacred his people. This was totally approved by the west in the Cold War, because the guy was also an anti-communist. During the Cold War, so long as someone was anti-communist, they got lots of aid from the West. It did not matter how evil the guy's record was on human rights violations.

So logically, the people responsible for the regime change in Iran to put the Shah of Iran into power there, can be called a terrorist organization. Today Iran is a horrible threat to the West, an example of how regime changes are generally not in the best interests of the nations that engineer them. A better example of that is where to try to win WW I (an effort that failed) Germany helped with the Communist revolution in Russia, and you can see how much damage the USSR did to Germany after WW II, damage which would never have happened had Germany not done Regime Change in Russia.

There have been other things that have happened since the Shah of Iran where other nations can reasonably conclude that any agency of another government that goes around killing people, should be labeled a terrorist organization.

How quickly we all forget... Iran will do anything to strengthen the tide against the west. You have to remember, those that support the current administration in Iran, and even Venezuela, are simply turn-coats that kiss the hand that feeds them only to sustain life for another day. They realize they're just as expendable.

The second they get a taste of the good life, they are quick to change dance partners.

We live in an "Us Against Them" time, and it's all simply part of the game. As for the CIA conducting "illegal" flights and kidnappings. Just more rhetoric that was not only sanctioned and supported by all parties involved, but played out prior to initiation... It's all part of the game.

CIA = in the business of spying, killing (by any means necessary), spreading propaganda, inciting revolts, assisting in revolutions.

"Terrorists" = in the business of spying, killing (by any means necessary), spreading propaganda, inciting revolts, assisting in revolutions.

Just because they are on "our side" doesn't make them something different, they perform the same duties as the other side, they just do it for us not them.

In addition, Irans new policy of viewing the CIA and US military as a "terrorist" organization is simply a delayed backlash to our labeling their Hezbollah a terrorist organization. Hezbollah is not just a bunch of terrorists sneaking around shooting people, they are a political party that do the exact same things as the CIA and US military, including provide free food, money, education and medical care to the public in several countries.

Does it now? How about the -73 CIA staged coup in Chile that put Pinochet in power? How about the hundreds of thousands killed due to CIA support of "democratic" governments in Central America? Nicaragua, El Salvador etc. How about the coup that put the Shah of Iran in power in the first place? Staged by the CIA and resulting in the current situation in the middle east in the first place. Not exactly current events but statefunded terrorism if ever there was any.

The way it's individuals operate DOES sometimes fit the description of terrorism.

There's a trail of corpses across Central America that tend to give validity to the claim.

Then there's the recent kidnap (rendition) of people around the world, illegal transport & hand-over to countries that perform torture, that reinforces the claim too.
