If there were 3 little sleeping alone, why the kidnapper only took Maddie? If they were dealing with traffic of children, the normal thing would have been to take the 3 of them, not just the eldest.

The kidnapping theory doesn't work, it's just plain common sense.

I've always questioned this, too.

Especially when people say that she has been "stolen for a childless couple" - you would think that people desperate for a child would want one that would have no memory of their 'previous parents' and also, importantly, no memory of who they really are and without the ability to realise a) something is wrong and b) to alert someone as to who they really are.

To my mind, it would make more sense, in that case, to have abducted Amelie - at 2 years old, it would be easier for her to be assimilated in to a new family and less chance that she would remember the old one.

Given that the only evidence that Madeleine was taken by someone has come from the McCanns and their friends, and that there would appear to be no forensic evidence to suggest that anyone had waited in the apartment between the 'regular checks', let alone on Cuddle Cat, who was said to have been moved to a high shelf, then the abduction theory is just a means to whip up public frenzy and to confirm to the worriers that there really is a big bad world out there.

I'm with you - I've doubted the kidnapping theory from day one. . . .

There could be three possible theories, IMO.

1. The abductor took Madeleine to sell to a childless couple.
As someone has pointed out previously, he would have taken all three kids, because, more kids, more profit. Although it might have been too hard to carry all three kids, in that case, he would have taken Amelie, seeing as she is younger, therefore, less likely to remeber the parents, etc.
So I don't believe that was the reason she was taken.

2. The parents had something to do with it.
It would make sense because as far as I know there are no signs of an abductor being in the apartment.

3. She was taken by a pedophile.
If that is the case then she would have suffered or is still suffering at the hands of this sick man.
Which is I would prefer to think it was option 2.

If it was a paedophile or a child labour group, they would only take the ones who they have use for. The twins, especially when sleeping, would seem to be too little for any use, plus if it was a peadophile they might want Madeleine and Amelie but not Sean and since Amelie is younger if she woke up she would scream and cry and Madeleine, being older, probably would not. And the kidnapper may not have been able to carry all three or knew that his time was running short, Gerry or Kate would be back soon, and took the most appealing of the three.

If there became a kidnapper, no-one at right here can achievable understand the answer to that. different than for the obtrusive one, of a peodophile's tastes, yet i do no longer even decide to think of roughly that.

Perhaps it WAS a kidnapping and the people were counting on YOUR logic when they did it. It's like a Female Serial Killer, a perfect cover because no one will look for a woman. See going OUTSIDE logic is sometimes a brilliant plan. Now I don't think that is the case this time. I think that you have to suspect everything and nothing. That means you have to look into the chance there was a kidnapping BUT you can't focus on it.

IF she was kidnapped then one person couldn't carry three kids and also three kids of that age would be a lot harder to not be noticed with than one. Although a smaller child would have been easier to take.

I wonder if maybe it wasn't obvious from looking quickly as to whether the twins were male or female so readily as it was Madeleine.

Madeleine could have been specifically targetted.

Or, she wasn't kidnapped.

Who knows.

None of it makes any sense , I don't know what has happened to little Maddie, but the whole case has too many flaws which just do not add up. It all seems unreal from the day she went missing.

Exactly the point a lot of people have been trying to make, but to no avail for a long time now. Sadly the press don`t want to explore these lines of investigation. Gerry and Kate are just too good loooking to be suspects is the press line. Another important question is why the twins never woke up during this commotion.

Sadly, there are some sick people out there who are turned on by certain age groups. She could have been taken to fill a specific order.

The kidnapper did not go into the room where they were sleeping. Maddy got up and wandered outside, and then was kidnapped.
