There is no way that with the world focused completely on them that they could have hidden and buried the child without help. Did one or more of the tapas 7 bury her for them while they, and all the press, were out of the country. Did one or more of them help conceal the body? If so, who do you think it was?

It's just a theory folks.

First of all, nobody is really ever gonna know the REAL answer as to what happened but lets look at this as if we were Clombo or Poirot perhaps.
Do you notice that the wife ( and Mc Cann Pair) would never look properly at the cameras! Suspicious. Look at all the footage, says Colombo.
Second, he always seems to answer and thirdly neither has really ever shown a real reaction, breaking down and crying in public, sobbing or even having to stifle a tear back. Think of the Rhys boys' mother or the mother of the boy who drowned in Wigan recently in the gravel pit tragedy,.
Then on their return to England entering the house- the boy is carried in, not walking but to me he looks as though he is grossly subdued and possibly on some form of drugs, I would suggest that he appears to be less than 100% alert - so may have been given some form of medicine to subdue him. Most little boys would delight at the press and the cameras and all the attention, and having been on a plane are likely to be alert and a real handful. That is not what I would expect to see in the middle of the day says Poirot.
That to me is five strange and strong co-incidences. Mr Branson must have considered these points before parting with his hard earned cash, I hope.
Now both the Mc Cann's are professionals, him reputedly a surgeon and her a doctor -- who hasn't given their children something to help them settle if they are tired, ill or sun burnt?
Could it be that while they went out for a few minutes earlier in the day, the children were unattended and the little girl choked to death?
By accident? Yes, how long does it take two minutes - it might have been at the earlier lunch time, well that's how I would write it if I were an author for agatha christie.
It would ruin both there careers- just the shame of it -- so mid afternoon the parents in my story would panic and either go to the coast and dispose of the problem in the Atlantic or bury it in some quiet hill side- well away from prying eyes.
The result is they do go to the later evening lunch with their friends, are seen to be keep popping back to check and later they do return to find her gone. They raise the alarm and have their witnesses and a safe alibi, but no real tears or hysterics, just a plum part raising awareness to do before it all dies down.
The trouble is that that was a quiet day on the news desks in London ( not a good day to bury bad news) and before you know it hey presto the press have picked it up and it is being beamed around the world. Baby snatched and everymedia man involved for the story and the pride of Spain. Sky Tv and the BBC are on the doorstep, to help get the villain!
They don't need to hide a body, in my story, as it was never there. No one can report or ever sees anything because there never was anyone to be seen - a perfect answer to my perfect crime that nobody ever intended to happen.
Any other stories or theories , boys?

As you say yourself, it's just a theory, but I agree with the other posters. I think the Tapas 7 are unlikely to have cooperated.

Glen nelg gives the best theory yet that I've heard of what might have happened that terrible evening.

I agree with your first statement - there is no way that with all the media attention on them they could have hidden a body.
It's the next part I have problems with. I just find it very difficult to believe ANYONE has friends who are that close they'd dispose of a dead child for them.
If (really big "if" for me) the McCanns are guilty of killing their daughter, they have the best reason in the world to want to cover it up. Nobody else has. Why would they trust anyone else, and why would anyone have that much reason to help them?

This case is so confusing, we dont know what story is true and what is not.
I do get a feeling that the friends have something to do with it, but with all of these conflicting stories in the media every day, its hard to judge.
I do hope they solve it soon

Come on Mathilda! Leave it to the police eh? I know you're entitled to your opinion and all that but there's no evidence of anything! For all we know Maddie ran out herself and got swept away in the sea. I've no idea! But let's not condemn without evidence!

In my opinion, Mr & Mrs are involved up to their necks - I've said so from day one - based purely on body language. I also think the tapas set are probably covering up something

Well seeing that it took the parents 40 minutes(according to the parents, it could have been a few hours for all we know) to call the police, they got rid of the body before this whole media circus started.

I'm surprised that no one has promoted the theory that Maddy was abducted by aliens, as the 1991 Roper poll in the US claimed that 3.7 million Americans thought they'd been taken aboard a UFO by aliens.

In the face of this figure, it's no more absurd to believe in this than it is to believe any of the other "theories" being put forward.
