Yes but they "leak" their views through people like Aunty Phil etc and they also have that very expensive spokesperson to tell us how innocent they are so it is useless really.

Sadly, when an accusation has been made or suggested, most defense lawyers will tell you to clam up. That's because you don't want to be defending something you said in the news. This is sad in this case because they need to be using the media. I don't think the police should make these types of accusations public. Let the McCanns talk all they want to - and if the police want to investigate them, go for it. But once the police make it public, then they really have no choice but to go into hiding. The police botched this one......from the beginning.

They are not suppose to talk about the case to anyone , because if they were to be charged , what they had said to the Media ,could hinder everything . They would argue they wouldn't get a fair trial because of details disclosed . The McCanns are very clever people , they put on such a high light on Maddy ,that people forgot their neglect and the use of a drug to keep all the children asleep for hours . They should be charged for leaving the children " Home Alone " for even 30Min's . Home alone is home alone ! . And it is a crime .

Have you ever considered comedy writing? You wrote:
"I have the greatest respect for the Portuguese, their Police and their laws"
Nice one, if you can have respect for Portuguese police who have told a string of lies about the McCanns each of which was subsequently back tracked on usually days later, you have a great sense of humour

I think more than half of this world wouldn't leave their children alone, open to anything. If Madeleine or one of the twins was crying for help, would they have heard her?
They may be innocent of her murder but they are guilty of her disappearance. What ever happened, they played the part that put their daughter in a vunerable position.

this is all a bit far fetched. what mother could store their little girls body in a fridge and drive around from town to town looking for a final resting place. this would be heartbreaking for the parents i don't think anyone would go that for for money.

Who's saying they won't eventually be prosecuted for child neglect?
It's not relevant at the moment because the PJ are trying to find enough evidence to charge them with something far more serious.

I do not have respect for the police in Portugal, who `s only worry is the effect this is having on their economy....
No parent should leave their child.............however in Britain the room would have been tested sooner ,rather than a 100 days later ...and so on
they are grasping at straws and trying to cover up their mistakes..................sad very sad, especially when their is a little girls life at stake.

It is not considered neglect everywhere to leave small children alone.. It all depends on where you live. In America yes.. To leave children that small alone it is but in Romania, Africa, Russia and places like it that is normal to leave small children alone for a period of time or even to leave older children to sit for younger ones. I know that they are not from Portugal but this might explain why no charges are being brought about for neglect..
