in the abduction of poor little Madeleine it must be playing on their minds constantly.

How do you get over something like this happening especially when you are away on holiday trying to get away from the stresses and worries of eveyday life.

Were you there and how are you coping knowing that you could only watch and not help?

I'm fed up looking at that blue stripey one.

His PR team hasn't been advising on that I see.

Having read several other questions, i am interested on hearing your views on the death penalty. I am from the UK but have been living in france for years, and this is a very 'social' place (rehab for offenders, etc etc). The death penalty here is seen as totally unheard of to mention (bad vibes if you even mention it- probably something to do with the guillotine i dunno) but i wondered if on the whole the British public are for this penalty or against it.
morbid subject i know, but i am very interested in the comparison

I dont have children yet, so i wouldn't know at what age they generally start talking & walking etc.
When a child reaches the age of two - are they good with responding to your questions, do they talk a little etc.?

My point i'm trying to make; is if Maddy's parents left her alone with their 2-year old twins, surely they could've got child psychologists to 'squeeze' out some information from them!

Will the Portugal government NOT allow this, or am i just clutching at straws?

Does any1 else think that the McCanns masterminded the disapperance of Madeline,, from start 2 finish,, they reckon they checked there kids every half hour on that fateful night,, but was she even there 2 check,,, i dont think she was,, i reckon sumat had happened 2 her b4 that eve,,, i dont think she was even abducted,,, i think sumat happened that the parents r guilty of,, and this is a "cleva" way of covering up wot they have dun 2 her. And wen was the last time anybody saw her with her parents n siblings???
Something is definately amiss on this case,, and the sooner the police question them properly the sooner the whole sad situation can be resolved,,,
And dont even get me started on the Team McCann,, its so gross i cud sit and throw up..!
The police need 2 search the baron land in portugal, that mite b a good place 2 start the search 4 little Maddy.

Why is Madeleine Mccan getting so much attention when there are thousands of kids all over the world dying from AIDS, malaria, starvation and malnutrition? What about the kids who are being abused and raped by their own fathers? What about the kids being forced into prostitution? What about the countless other kids all over the world who have been abducted recently?

This seems like a perfect example of people being so totally ignorant that they buy right in to the media frenzy created around this little girl, because the media know that the image of her lovely white innocent face will manipulate people emotionally, the end result being a highly profitable phenomenon for the news industry.
Why, for example, is nobody wearing a cheesy yellow ribbon in aid of the kids in africa who are truly suffering? Do they matter less for some reason? Is it cos they dont have a cute little 'press photo' like Madeleine?

People are unbelievably ignorant.

Right or wrong, now the US is in big debt due to the war. Should the government raise taxes to protect the stability of the country's financial system for future generations? The tax could come in a variety of forms. A gas tax might be one, the US government could put a light tax on land, a sales tax is an option etc. Experts agree that the total cost of the war will be over 1 trillion. Some say it could go up to 2 trillion. This is considering a variety of factors.

Isn't it time the US end its debtor nation status? It would be painful now but in the future there would be a lot less debt. Of course the whole debt wouldn't be paid of next year but rather more quickly than it is being paid off now.

Instead of the whys & hows & whens she was taken, can't we focus on ways the abductor can return her. With all the hype, he being totally sick (literally), must be totally freaking out now & even if he wants to return her may be too panicked to know how. Can someone suggest what would be the safest way Madeline / any missing child can be returned? Can he just call & leave an address. He would be apprehensive about being traced so we need to point out a way to him just to get her back. Dealing with him can be focussed on later. Abductors need to know that parents will want their precious children back no matter what.

I thought about this and it was just so hilarious. Everyday, he is on air bashing illegal immigrants. What if tracing his roots with those of those who spend time bashing llegal immigrants so much reveals that maybe his dad, grand dad, great grand dad, etc came to America illegally. Won't that be interesting?Tell me what you think.

I will because woman are just as smart as men. If they have the education, and the political clout, why shouldn't they be president? It's the religious politicians I don't trust. Look what they gave us the last time they voted. A woman may handle things much more peacefully and get some countries to be our freinds again. We sure could use some freinds now, before this whole world goes to war. I am afraid of what lies ahead and I trust Hillary who "is honest as the day is long" to run this country "for the good of the people" not the chosen few rich people. She will clean up our air, and hopefully try to reverse or at least prevent the Global Warming from getting any worse. Many people will die from this warming, and they are so unconcerned it seems to me. What happened in Greensburg Kansas was enough for me to see. We don't need this to happen anymore, but I'm afraid it will in the not too distant future. God help us, and put a woman in office. A peace loving woman. "GO HILLARY"

1. The US invaded Iraq in '03 and destabalized the government, the insurgency had already begun.
2. It is no surprise that Bin Laden wanted to send agents to Iraq, Iranian and Saudi trained terrorists were already operating in Iraq.
3. Bush's arguement is non sequitur, meaning it does not make logical sense to say the US presence in Iraq is fighting terrorism, if Bin Laden only wanted to enter because the US had already invaded.
4. "Stay the course" and "support our troops" have become meaningless mantras to further the president's agenda and have no connection with actual policy. Staying the course does not defeat terrorism, because Bin Laden, and all terrorists in Iraq were only able to enter AFTER the war had begun.
Support our troops is a mantra because war funding is not tied to soldier pay. Most war funding goes directly to deployment costs and the supply system. Soldiers are put in danger by being deployed in Iraq.
Is Bush trying to trick us?

I mean we always hear everyday about a few troops being killed and yeah that sucks, but I didn't know any of them. 20,000 people were murdered in the Us last year and I didn't know any of them so why should I care, millions of people die of natural causes every day, who cares. Theyre are at least 10 wars going on all over the world so why should I care or anybody else for that matter care.
