i would have more than slapped him. how dare he. who does this idiot think he is. he seems to be enjoying the fact that the spot light is all on him. they have no rights to call themselves parents. the body guards were probably stop the public from giving them a few home truths and maybe a slap or two. how the hell is him being a media freak helping this poor child. their behaviour and actions are a total disgrace. most people have the ability to have children,but not all of them are fit to call themselves parents. i think this monster has something to do with his little girl being missing. instead of doing press conferences and going on sight seeing tours,maybe this pair should be searching for their little girl. SHAME ON THEM. IT WONT BE LONG BEFORE THE PUBLIC TURN ON THEM,THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT THIS POOR CHILD IS GOING THROUGH. THEY SHOULD BE CHARGED AND JAILED FOR ABANDONING THEIR CHILDREN AND CHILD NEGLECT. WHO THE HELL DO THESE TWO THINK THEY ARE,AND WHY ARE THEY GETTING AWAY WITH THIS CRIME. THEY ARE MORE FAMOUS THAN THE QUEEN AT THE MINUTE,WHEN THEY SHOULD BE ROTTING IN JAIL FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE.

Lets, face it. This is no longer about a missing toddler. Look at this forum for example - people only discuss the parents now not the girl. They are probably as famous as the Beckhams now. They have turned Team McCann into a brand and they now have a company making many thousands per day with no overheads.
Take a look at the news from yesterday:

Mr McCann said that since Madeleine may no longer be in Portugal the search for her would extend "far and wide"

"Some of the money collected by the fund will be used to appoint a campaign manager. Hiring private investigators was not on the agenda at the moment", said Mr McCann.'

This demonstrates that getting their PR right is more important than acquiring new information. They are going to tour Europe meeting famous people and political figures. Can someone, anyone, please tell me the name of any other child that has gone missing this week in Europe? - but sadly I bet there has been lots. It's just their parents haven't surrounded themselves with PR advisors to make them celebrities. First the newspaper exclusives, then the Find Madeleine Concert at Wembley, then the book, then the ITV drama special finally McCann updates every 6 months by Hello magazine.

Why on earth aren't they hiring a private investigator???
Frankly, I'm amazed they didn't do that on day one - wouldn't most parents spend their time and energy doing that, rather than attending 'press and PR' meetings which is apparently what the McCanns do each morning?
And how is it that they can bear to leave their other two children at the creche?? Why don't they want them where they can see them - or at least looked after by the numerous relatives they have out there with them now?!

Maybe there never was a third child, it looks like the whole thing has been a set up to make these two losers famous. The whole thing is a farce.
Just watched the link that was posted - he has faith in the Portuguese Police and doesn't think that Private Investigators need to be brought in!! WHAT!! Wit hall that money donated, you would think that they would get all the resources possible to find their little girl!! maybe they are planning on using the money to go on a worldwide Mccan publicity tour.

I think it is really strange how this has all turned into a celebrity photo opportunity instead of a hunt for a missing child. I have never seen such emotionless parents.

Frig the papers they should be out looking for their daughter not courting publicity. If it was a single mum who left her three kids to go partying there would be outrage - but two successful people who only left their kids for a couple of hours and their celebrities. Poor Madeline if she is found will have to go back to these two animals!

I just got into work and was watching BBC News 24 watching the McCanns on their latest tour - of the church again. I though, god is that a body guard behind them and then, I see your question - my god I was right. Who the hell do these idiots think they are!

I saw it too and thought the same as you!
In fact I just answered something before about them kissing babies and leaving their own two behind. No doubt in creche again.
But people were almost in awe of them werent they? Like throwing themselves at them for a kiss!
They have overtaken Fatima today! Poor Fatima!

Makes me sick , id love to give them a shake so that thay would remember that there child has gone missing , if i was them id be knocking at doors and looking for my child not visting bloody shrines and walking the beach hand in hand ,
