Nothing new about the US patrolling the Persian Gulf, even working closely off the coast of Iran. The US will keep the oil flowing from that region at all cost. The world economy depends on it.

Only Iran can decide the fate of Iran. If they would like to rattle sabers, then they will be ok. If they want to use their sabers, that will be another story and they won't have many allies lining up to help them....

The whole region is unstable; it's not only Iran they are close to.
I doubt that the US will invade Iran anytime soon, as Iran's resources are limited and we'd rather not. However, this will also depends on Iran's actions in the near future, and this is hard to predict.

Nope.

President Bush has been pursuing a successful economic and diplomatic strategy against Iran for several years.

If Iran gets bombed it will be a Democrat who does it.

NO. That is absolutely the last thing we should do unless they attack us first.
If Bush orders an attack without sufficient cause (again), he should be impeached.
