I dont have children yet, so i wouldn't know at what age they generally start talking & walking etc.
When a child reaches the age of two - are they good with responding to your questions, do they talk a little etc.?

My point i'm trying to make; is if Maddy's parents left her alone with their 2-year old twins, surely they could've got child psychologists to 'squeeze' out some information from them!

Will the Portugal government NOT allow this, or am i just clutching at straws?

2 is usually a babbling age unless a child develops quicker than most. my son says words that we know are words, but only bc/ we say them everyday - not bc/ they are clear. And, if I'm not mistaken wasn't the girl taken in her sleep? This would probably mean the other kids were sleeping too thus, making them poor witnesses no matter what their verbal expertise.

The twins slept through everything. Maddie probably slept through it, too. Toddlers are very sound sleepers.
