I have heard rumors that the FBI is looking into whether Cho had anything to do with the poisoning of the pet food. Does anyone know anything about this? There was a girl at Virginia Tech who was also at columbine, and her cat got sick from the pet food but survived! Is her nine lives up?

Could the poisoned pet food that is making its way into the US and killing our beloved four legged friends be some sort of terrorist attack? Could terrorists be feeling out a way to get poisoned human food into the country? Shouldn't homeland security be all over this? What do you all think?

issue I have not seen addressed is would be the possible danger of the buildings being locked downed? Locking down would not necessarily changed the outcome . the people would be where they were without the option to get away. It is possible some peopled would have been in a room with the gunman and he could have still killed the same number of people if he wanted . also the students going to classes would be locked outside and if he was outside and wanted to kill more he would have been able to shoot the ones locked out. then it would be criticism for locking down the building and people not able to get inside to safety. The school is in a no win situation in my opinion.
They state there are at least 100 buildings and over 10,000 lived off campus. How can you control everybody that comes and goes.? You can’t . after seeing the video clips i think he would have killed whoever he could

How does buying a bumper magnet help support the troops? I know these people mean well but it is not a realistic or helpful way to support this cause and I've even read articles where troops who were interviewed admitted to being offended by them.

Do proceeds from those magnets go to support the troops? No. Because of they did, this would be a strong selling point which would be prominently displayed to buyers on the packaging. But there's never any mention of monetary donations to support troops.

Have you also noticed that most of these bumper magnets are "Made in China"? So who exactly is profiting from these mass-produced and mass-sold magnets? Someone is getting rich off of them.

I'm talking about the Virginia Tech shooter, I'm not going to attempt to type his name, I don't even know it. Just wondering if his family has come forward with any kind of statement yet. The whole situation is so tragic and if you or your loved ones were involved, or you know anyone who was involved, I am truly sorry. My heart goes out to you.

In 2000, Team Bush took over the Republican Party and laid out its promises to the American people. The following pledges and claims are taken directly from the 2000 GOP Platform. Should we laugh or cry at promises made by an administration that has ruled through deception, endless war, politicization of intelligence and the Justice Dept., outing CIA officers, and the like? SHARE THIS WITH FRIENDS.

Honest Government
“Trust, pride, and respect: we pledge to restore these qualities to the way Americans view their government.”

Keeping Intelligence Free of Politics
"Nor should the intelligence community be made the scapegoat for political misjudgments. A Republican administration working with the Congress will respect the needs and quiet sacrifices of these public servants as it strengthens America's intelligence and counter-intelligence capabilities…”

Diplomacy and Maintaining Allies
“The arrogance, inconsistency, and unreliability of the [Clinton] administration's diplomacy have undermined American alliances, alienated friends, and emboldened our adversaries."

Endless Military Missions, Exit Strategies and Troop Readiness
"The current administration has casually sent American armed forces on dozens of missions without clear goals, realizable objectives, favorable rules of engagement, or defined exit strategies.” [Emphasis added.]

"Sending our military on vague, aimless, and endless missions rapidly saps morale. Even the highest morale is eventually undermined by back-to-back deployments, poor pay, shortages of spare parts and equipment, inadequate training, and rapidly declining readiness. When it comes to military health, the administration is not providing an adequate military health care system…"

Restoring the Rule of Law and the Justice Department
The rule of law, the very foundation for a free society, has been under assault, not only by criminals from the ground up, but also from the top down. An administration that lives by evasion, coverup, stonewalling, and duplicity has given us a totally discredited Department of Justice. The credibility of those who now manage the nation’s top law enforcement agency is tragically eroded. We are fortunate to have its dedicated career workforce, especially its criminal prosecutors, who have faced the unprecedented politicization of decisions regarding both personnel and investigations.”

Gas Prices (then $1.55 per gallon)

“Today, gas prices have skyrocketed, and oil imports are at all-time highs....By any reasonable standard, the Department of Energy has utterly failed in its mission to safeguard America’s energy security. “

It doesn't look like it to me. I don't see anything in the 2nd Amendment prohibiting the owning of tanks or missiles etc. In fact it say "arms".

But there probably are laws, unconstitutional unchallenged laws.

And if you GOP neocon Tim MacVeigh types are planning to take on the government when the liberals are in control (2009) you'd better have something besides the popguns you've got now. The government has tanks jets, nukes etc. and "organized militia".(mmmmm?...where have i seen that term before?)

I am an Australian living and working in the United States, I love it here and the people but I don't love the gun laws. I think it is a bigger problem then many Americans realize.

Any fruitloop can walk into a Walmart and buy a guy and then go shooting innocent people. With weapons being so easy to get isn't anyone else worried about the addiction Americans have to bare arms as a right????

I've heard every staggering figure pulled out of thin air by the gun-cult, of armed Americans protecting their lives with guns.
Why do we NEVER EVER see even one such report of such incidents on CNN FOX on mainstream media? How about your local newspaper?

There are some such cases no doubt....but a million a year?...a thousand a day?...come on you guys!!...please submit here say a 100 published, police-documented news stories from yesterday of armed Americans defending themselves against armed criminals....that would be 36,500 a year. So a hundred should be easy...................................I'm waiting........................I'm waiting

Va Tech....14 school shutdowns in 3 days, shooting at NASA...will mass gun violence ever take a day off. I see hatred, intolerance and elitism mixed with the 2nd Amendment and a tabloid mainstream media as a recipe of self-destruction. A criminal attorney general with a really bad memory, a criminal reality-challenged president ...has anything good happened in America in the last 6 years? Could some one please list something good that has happened in America since Bush and GOP took total control?
