issue I have not seen addressed is would be the possible danger of the buildings being locked downed? Locking down would not necessarily changed the outcome . the people would be where they were without the option to get away. It is possible some peopled would have been in a room with the gunman and he could have still killed the same number of people if he wanted . also the students going to classes would be locked outside and if he was outside and wanted to kill more he would have been able to shoot the ones locked out. then it would be criticism for locking down the building and people not able to get inside to safety. The school is in a no win situation in my opinion.
They state there are at least 100 buildings and over 10,000 lived off campus. How can you control everybody that comes and goes.? You can’t . after seeing the video clips i think he would have killed whoever he could

. They could have warned the students much faster , with a loud speaker system. The students in the dorms could have locked themselves in and the rest could have fled the campus until they had swat team out and through search of campus.

lock down on campus (What a joke) in a small school yes, where it contained one bldg or a few mobiles class rooms.
With such a large campus students coming and going would be out of the loop. So how hard would it have been, for a student (intent on killing) to look and act confused to gain entry into a classroom, where he was known.? How long would it take for some poor soul to fear for this student trapped out in the hallway, and pull him into safety. Once he enters the room they are trapped.

Lock down? All the cops were hiding behind trees and cars while students were being killed. I could have gone there with a bunch of my friends and hid behind trees. With the same out come.

D*MN!!!
What if we moooooooove on!

Please, let's focus on bringing our troops home, getting Bush out of office, health insurance for everybody, cheaper real estate taxes! Something other than VT, they need to heal and move on as well as the rest of the country.

What will be wonderful to see is how the students of VT maintain excellent GPA's despite this tragedy, and graduate on time, continue on the Grad/Law/Medical school, and make a difference in this insane world we live in.
