Amish on the Interstate...You are one scary dude. I feel extremely sorry for your children. I agree that children should not be coddled, but what Baldwin said to his daughter was abuse...plain and simple. Beating down a child does not build up their character.

Ya know it's really nobodies business so why don't-ca just find something else to gripe about.
1. The tape was illegally leaked by a vindictive Ex-Wife and her lawyer.
2. If you've never been through a really hateful divorce, you don't have a clue as to the total rage that can be generated over a long period of time.
3. Mother is probably telling Daughter that her Dad is a jerk and not to talk to him. It seems as Daughter is doing what Mother asks.
4. Dad is totally frustrated because Daughter is turning against him because of her Mother whom Dad hates.
5. Come on, we've all been really pissed at one time or another. Give the guy a break.

Oh my gosh, I only caught a little bit of the broadcast of it on the news this morning, but it was horrible! I hope he gets visitation taken away completely and is made to go into some kind of counseling! What an idiot! I never liked Alec Baldwin anyway, seems too left wing for me. Have you ever seen his website Meet your Meat? If not, look it up. Really disturbing. As far as people saying the kid had it coming, a scolding yes, but this went WAY beyond scolding. It was verbal abuse plain and simple.

Alec is not the man who we see in movies, he is the person he's always been and we're now seeing it for ourselves.

Scolding a child is one thing but being demeaning and evil is another. This is the fine line between giving a child a swift pat on the butt to scold them, and punching a child in the face to scold them --- BIG DIFFERENCE. Both have the same effect, your telling the child - I don't like what you did. But the latter is ABUSE.

It is totally disgusting. For one thing, we may at times have an anger outburst that we regret to somebody that we love or our children.
HOWEVER, he said demeaning, demoralizing, life affecting things to his daughter. Things that will shape her life towards men, marriage, her father.
Everyone gets angry. Creeps and people with psychological problems take it to a level of control and abuse. I do not care how the past 7 years have been hard on him in court. He got busted and is trying to blame everyone else! Loser!

Bravo Alec!!!!! I've wanted to say the same things to my weak, ungrateful, self absorbed brats for a long time. He was brutally honest about how he felt and there is NOTHING wrong with that. This country has gotten so soft and p.c. it disgusts me. What did he hurt her feelings? Boo hoo hoo. You do a great disservice to your children by coddling them. There is a real world outside of your protective bubble where people yell, scream, use profanity, hurt your feelings, and sometimes offend you. That is life so toughen up and get used to it.

I think its a good thing that Kim Bassinger divorced him and got their daughter away from him at least for most of the time. Some anger management classes might help. (or NOT) I have two daughters and would never talk to them that way!!!! It is just plain unacceptable!!!!!!!!!

He was probably angry, shootin off his mouth without meaning harm, just venting like many of us do, I really dont know what was said, but I do know the mr and mrs cleaver NEVER existed !! Guess you havent raised kids.
Mothers and fathers tend to USE their kids against each other, and put sh*t in their heads to cause problems or see them stand up for the one putting junk into the head. I wouldnt worry, it will be fine, kids always forgive and always come home.
