Yes. Socialism is a form of government in which they take over the jobs of companies, like doctors or health insurance. A governmental service that involves taxes and federal power to provide other than postal delivery, policing, or defense, etc. is socialism. Whether it's right or wrong is your decision.

Depends on how you define socialism. The Democrats probably wouldn't define it as socialism, but the Republicans probably might. And then you get into the debate as to whether or not medicare is a good thing.

Yes & so is the Soc Security:

Under SSI If I earn an Income of X00 I cant Earn SSI payments unless MY INCOME DROPS to recieve SSI.
Yes lower your income while all around you Higher prices for Gas, Heating, Food, etc.

Soc Security
Medicare
Medicaid.
Clintons Uniform Health Plan
IRS Tax Plan
All=socialisim.
See Sweden & Norway & note Taxes they pay for services.
Now compare to the US.

Yes. People like socialism. They like publicly owned roads. They like publicly owned beaches and parks. They like having publicly owned water supplies and sewer systems. They like having the defense department be publicly owned. Socialism is just a word. Don't be afraid of using it when it makes sense, and medicare makes sense. So does national health care, so you won't go bankrupt if you get the wrong disease.
