Gore? Come on. He’s a windbag that puts off more pollution in a month than the average person does in 6 months. His overhyped propaganda piece is pure garbage, and personally don’t think that the Nobel prize is anything more than a group that jumps on the flavor of the month bandwagon….
Anyone else see this is a political move instead of a reward for actually accomplishing something good for humanity?

and shares it with the ICC. Both deal with Global Warming. He is a great fire starter on global warming and the ICC speaks for itself, the International Climate Council. I answered a couple of questions yesterday about him and saw all the haters and didn't understand why in America if you do something positive it is always perceived as negative. The man did something very good for his country. And now he has a Nobel Prize to prove it. Why do you dislike Gore so much? What bad has he done as far as his global warming work?

Heard an interview on V103 Chicago this morning w/Michael's father and Al Sharpton; please browse internet for more information. Michael is back in jail for violating probation, in front of same judge that tried him as an adult; father lost his job; family has to pay over $600/month for counseling WHILE HE IS IN JAIL. Anyone ever heard of such a thing? And the 10 months in jail he already served (as an adult, mind you) does not count as time served.

What is wrong with the people of Jena????

Today's (12/10/07) New York Times says:

"Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates, visiting London just days after the prime minister announced that he would remove half of the 5,000 British troops in Iraq by spring, said Thursday that Britain remained “America’s closest ally” and that the force reductions were being made with the full consent of the United States."

Consent, i.e. "permission". How gracious of him!

What would he have done if the British left without his consent - nuke the UK?

I dont see what the big deal is with the jena six. the way i see it is that there were 6 of them and only 2 are facing charges as minors. They should be lucky that they all didn't get locked up. If the situation was the other way around and 6 white kids done that to a black kid they would ba facing a mirder charge. so i think that all the protesters should give it up no matter how much hell they raise it is not going to change the outcome of the courts dicisions. please let me know what you think about this.

Global warming and the protection of the environment should be a paramount concern and certainly Al Gore has contributed to awareness of the problems facing us, our children and, with a bit of luck, our grandchildren, but maybe there should be another category.

What an awful situation this is. I can't imagine what I'd do. When my children were 10 months old, there's no way I could have given them up, it would have broken my heart. However, i know that I'd also want my biological child back. Impossible situation.
I'm also a stepmother, with two step kids living just down the road. We see them every other day after school until the evening, and they stay with us every other weekend. This works well, they have two sets of loving parents, and are well adjusted kids. Could this sort of routine be the answer?
What would you do?
