I think she will run on a more centrist platform to get elected. She will refuse to say what her policy would be about our continued presence in Iraq. If she becomes President, she will surround herself with people on the far left. The Iranians will see this as an opportunity to further their religious agenda of the hastening the coming of the 11th Mullah. They will silence their anti American and anti Israel rhetoric and the voices of moderation will begin to speak in Iran. They will invite Mrs. Clinton to negoitiate a comprehensive peace in the Middle East. She will send her husband and Bill Richardson to negoitiate with the Iranians. They will arrive in Tehran to a tulmultous and pro American welcome. They will negoitiate an agreement with Iran. As a result she will completely withdraw from Iraq. After the troops are all out the Iranians will accuse us of violeting the peace accord and attack and occupy Iraq. Ultimately this will lead to nuclear war with Israel and Iran.

With Bush baby's veto of Chip we now are the only civilized country on the planet where millions of children cannot get medical treatment because they cannot afford it. Every true blooded Republican must feel very proud. The cretin army brings home another glorious victory. .

Why is the US Congress debating a resolution about whether or not the killing of Armenians in turkey during WWI was genocide?

Why does it matter? It's not like the U.S. is going to do anything about it now because the U.S. needs Turkey.

Or am I misunderstanding the situation? Maybe it's NATO or the UN? I don't think so ... I think it's just the U.S.

I posted a question regarding this article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071011/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq&printer=1;_ylt=Ai5UDa6dwy4ftmAy8brHJPUUewgF

Specifically, I asked if there is a formula of some kind being used by the US military that somehow justifies a certain number of dead Iraqi civilians given the number of suspected terrorists that are killed. This is a legitimate question, has nothing to do with national security, and is highly relevant to the current events taking place such as the killing of 9 Iraqi children during a recent US military attack. Yahoo is censoring questions that challenge the humanitarian aspect of the continuing war in Iraq? WHY????? What's going on here?

Mychal Bell has three previous battery convictions within two years prior to this incident, and one of them was for beating his grilfriend to the ground, brusing two ribs, and knocking her eye from its socket...while she lay on the ground. Does that sound somewhat familiar?

I detest a low life coward like Bell that attacks someone from behind and Mychal Bell is worse because he is a woman beater.

Polish police evicted several dozen black-clad nuns from a convent in Poland they had occupied for more than 2 years in defiance of a Vatican order.

Armed police officers jumped over the fence guarding the convent because the nuns barred the gate & locked themselves inside the building where they held hands & sang religious songs, police videotapes showed. The police did not use force.
"It is a sad case for the (Catholic) church and for those who disobeyed the church and ended in such a situation," Warsaw Archbishop Kazimierz Nycz told PAP news agency.

He said the nuns could come back to the Catholic community if they repented and obeyed the rules.

The 64 sisters of the Family of Bethany rebelled against their order when the Vatican decided to replace their mother superior, who had said she had visions and was in direct contact with God.
The nuns have defied an eviction order for two years and had to get by without electricity and water since April when they were cut off by the authorities. They survived thanks to local sympathisers who brought them food and supplies.

The deposed mother superior and an ex-Franciscan friar who had accompanied the nuns were arrested by the police in connection with the occupation.

I saw on the news today that some kids managed to get their hands on weapons such as Rpks, Frags,Ak47,M16, and military type shotguns.

How do people get these guns!?!? Seriosuly the U.S is in another country looking for terroists but they dont know that there are people dealing high powered weapons! Its not like they can be imported from another country, security is too tight!

Ann Coulter seems to have some very extreme points of view, and I think that many thoughts she shares in interviews do not make sense or are not based on good information. Does she really truthfully represent the way people see the world, the motivations for behaviors and beliefs, and does she represent American politics in a way that is factual and productive? Are her views too extreme, or are they mainstream? I saw an interview with Coulter a few days ago, and I have been wondering what others think of what she says.

Shouldn't we stay and put things right? At least untill we are certain they can handle things on their own?

The Far Right war mongers are just itching to bomb Iranian women and children. Why? because a bunch of right wing "think" tanks, far right christian and jewish zealots tell them this is a "good" idea. Anyone who dares to oppose these Nazi thugs is labelled a "terrorist sympathiser" or "soft on terrorists" or some other bullshit Nazi propaganda line. When people ask Why?? Why kill millions of Iranians?? the Right Wing machine breaks into the mantra of "war on terrorism" even though there is no evidence the iranians are anywhere near building a bomb.

I noticed a lot of people have a little "niche" in yahoo answers when they ask questions.
For example the fella' who does "Which is todays "R&S Dumb question of the day". Or the Homie "MeatBot" who always has good questions for the people of R&S.

I'll be starting my own niche "Interesting News of the day". I'll to my best to keep it fun and exciting. Hopefully I can keep you guys interested!

I would love comments and opinions on the story in question.
Is the threat of a fine justified in this case?

All support is appreciated. Thanks!

At what point is the value of human life more important than killing a few "suspected" insurgents because you can't wait for a more opportune time?

And doesn't "suspected terrorists" mean they think they might be insurgents. So we are killing people and blowing stuff up over speculation of terror these days?

Man - this is complete madness.

Kill everyone in Iraq as long as we make a point to a few hundred al-Qaida members

Where is the morality.

And I have to ask - Was Blackwater involved?

In the 1930s, 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s, many children were born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried them and nobody worried about it. They took aspirin, ate cheese dressings and didn't test for diabetes. There were no child-proof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets. When children rode on bikes, there were no helmets and often no brakes. In the cars there were no seat belts or air bags. Water was often drunk from a garden hose or a public tap - certainly not from a water bottle! Ginger - lemonade - was drunk from a bottle passed from child to child. Children ate sweets whenever they could but were not overweight because they were active - outside playing. In fact, during school holiday, they often were away from home from morning till it got dark. They built bogies - go-carts - out of scrap wood and old pram wheels and rode them downhill with no brakes and when it snowed they slid down hills on tea trays thus coming to terms with the law of gravity. There were no Playstations, Nintendos, Xboxes, no video games, no 99 channels on cable, no video or DVD movies, no surround sound, no mobile phones, no personal computers, no Internet … but children had friends with whom they played outside. They fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth but there were no lawsuits for these accidents. Games were invented with sticks and tennis balls, old tin cans and the like. Children walked to school without supervision or children wardens to see them across the street. They could go to a friend's house and knock on the door or even just walk in. When it came to organised games like football, not everyone got picked to play, but they just had to deal with that. And when they got into trouble at school or whatever, parents sided with the authorities. That generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever because they had freedom, failure and success. They took responsibility for themselves and they learned how to deal with it

A nice spokesman has confirmed that low to moderate levels of alcohol are safe for both men as well as women during pregnancy.
Women are therefore advised to drink moderately, and teetotal women to start drinking until November 2008 when alcohol will become dangerous again. However it's not all doom and gloom. The spokesman added that following changes in this week's pre budget statement, cannabis will be downgraded to harmless or nearly harmless as of April next year. Sales of peanuts are likely to remain buoyant until they officially become dangerous again in 2008, although unwashed prebagged salad will remain moderately popular again from late next year until the next General Election.

A question was asked earlier about force feeding people that were on hunger strike.

Tonight, I force fed myself a whole Terry's Chocolate Orange to see what it would feel like.

I can confirm it was very painful

Do you agree with force feeding?
