I personally know an Armenian woman. She talks a lot about the suffering her grandparents went through. They were killed, actually. The genocide that was committed on the Aremenian people is well remembered by Armenians. It is their Holocaust. For what it's worth, it means a lot to the Armenian people to have that recognition, which has always been overshadowed by the Nazi atrocities.

I just chalk it off to general incompetence as usual. I honestly believe that they are so disconnected from reality that they actually believe they are doing a good thing. It serves no practical purpose and it does mean nothing now. It should have meant something during world war 1 but alas, apparently some 6 million people or so have to bake in ovens before mass genocide becomes a bad thing. To get more headaches like the one you're having now, just get to historians to argue about the actual fall of the roman empire, they will vehemently shout for hours while ignoring their current surroundings.

Campaign contributions from groups that wanted the resolution. It doesn't matter to the majority in the House whether or not the government of Turkey reduces our ability to operate mid-air refueling aircraft from Incilirk Air Base, thereby interfering with our ability to maintain a protective air umbrella over our troops. Turkey has already recalled their ambassador for consultations. So, in a few weeks or months, when operations are degraded at Incilirk and American troops are placed in danger because of that, I will bet dollars to donuts that Pelosi and company will try to figure out how to blame the President. But, don't expect them to return those campaign contributions.

Well said Cinny. With Christmas this close the government are gonna look pretty silly making death threats against Turkeys. Actually it's all about SOCKS. If everyone in Iraq Said SOCKS really loud they would blow Americas SOCKS off.

It's plan to eliminate Turkey as an allie and lose the right to their airspace...which means our soldiers supply line would be cut off....and they say they are not traitors by supporting the enemy and helping them.
