Can Yahoo announce amber alerts?

Since i dont watch much tv since i have found YAHOO I dont see things like this but today i happend to catch an alert in il.

They can but usually don't, since Amber Alerts tend to be local in nature (they are usually announced only to a part of a state).

Methinks Amber Alerts should be announced EVERYWHERE.
