The US will get out of Iraq. It will just take 5-10 years. Any faster puts the US soldiers at risk, the Iraqi people at risk and the US position in the world at risk.
I know you think things are bad already but things would be worse with a sudden pullout.
Get used to it. Even the democratic candidates have changed their message to reflect this reality.

There has never been a general strike in the U.S. and never will be. There is no organization large enough to pull it off.
