Excuse me but it HAS NOT been resolved and there are wildcat strikes going on all over the UK. There were a few in Glasgow the other day and the latest has been in Edinburgh in Scotland. The reason for these unofficial strikes are due to intimidation and bullying by management.

Some managers are saying that as workers return to work that they are automatically accepting the new conditions. They have every reason to Strike in this instance. There are other official Strikes scheduled on EVERY DAY of next week. The only difference is that each day it's a different division of the Royal Mail workforce going on Strike.

This is to minimise the hardship that would be caused should everyone be on Strike at the same time for the whole week. This is also to minimise disruption to the public. This is ironic as every area of the Strike will have a knock-on effect on other parts and the public will still see a backlog of mail for more than a week.

Personnally, I don't agree with the Strike action but if you don't have your colleagues to rely on for support and if you don't stick together, you will get shafted by management.

nothing has been resolved,it is a breach of contract, by the royal mail.there hours have been changed without talking to the union ,which is illegal move by royal mail, you cannot change anything while in dispute.it's no surprise that big company's can get away with this .and people with little understanding of the situation assume that the dispute is over.it is know surprise that people who watch a lot of TV and take on board, what is being shown.they believe it is true.and have little understanding about the world around them.

I trust you fullyyt, The Royal Mail, as you place it no longer exists as such, the submit place of work , as they're correct generic, saved the call because of believe and surprising acceptance that The Royal Mail had gained from it rather is inception because of the fact the worlds first postal provider. Now we get 1pick up in line with day instead of three from mail packing containers, a million transport in line with day instead of two, mail normally being "lost". the quicker the entire "provider" is privatised the better,we would get a sturdy mail gadget then !.

It HASN'T been resolved, as of 15.15 BST on 12 October 2007. But Liverpool is a very Socialist stronghold, none of your New Labour b*llocks there - Militant etc. - so that would answer your rather odd question.

No, i remember many years ago in the pool,a container company was driven out and went to Tilbury docks instead because of action at liverpool.I was in the Transport and general workers union, and remember sitting in the the queue at liverpool for three days ,having to sleep across the engine one winter.I never forgot or forgave them that, and thats why i drove through the picket lines on the OCL situation, and i would do the same again.
