Findings so far seem to describe a criminal event. What laws could they be subject to (if any)? Could they face trial in Iraq?

Please don't hit me with political rhetoric. I'm wondering honestly about this.

"findings seems to describe a criminal event."

where? Everywhere I've read, the story remains unchanged. There were warnings given prior to the shooting. Again, according to what I've read, there was a witness who said the same thing.

It will boil down to this........

Look at the overall situation. Your enemies are civilians driving ordinary cars. Others were killed for failing to stop, and they mostly all went away. This one will too.

Those of us who don't experience suicide bombings don't know what those over there fear. We don't know the degree of fear. Standing in judgment half a world away, safely at home is easy. Living with their nightmares is beyond all of us.

After a few dozen suicide bombings, seeing body parts hanging everywhere, seeing blood flowing like water down the streets, who here would not be a quick to pull the trigger?

No americans will be put on trial in Iraq. The Iraqis don't have a hope of justice.
The only thing they can due is sue for compensation in the American courts.

Probably nothing. Iraq wants to prosecute them but it will never happen. Congress is trying to get a law passed that would remove their immunity from prosecution. It hasn't happened yet though
