Your suggestion is right about Australia we should send you but I don't think even they would let you in !! (No offence Aussies I used to live there).

Stephen Fry as you can see from all your replies is a very well loved and respected man. He is a gentle man and has allowed the cameras into his personel world at times that to most of us would be extremely private. Because of the way he handles himself he is treated with respect.

This man is totally the example of something that you will never achieve. He is not the one with issues here I suggest you go take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself why you don't like him why pick on his issues maybe you have been watching him and feel it is too close to home!

Don't judge a book by its cover get to know it first then you may pass judgement until then save your questions for something of value and stop trying to find fault where there is none.

I remember him Once playing Oscar Wilde on a Television Series and he was brilliant in the Role. He has the right Persona for the part, all terrible terrible Hi Polloi. It shows him becoming more Gouche as time went on after meeting Bozi Lord Alfred Douglas's Son the Marquis of Queensbury and Oscar suddenly Realised he was Homosexual and gradually began to wear more Foppish Clothes.

Wow, if only you had his intelligence, maybe you would be able to ask a proper question?

Stephen Fry is a very intelligent man and he uses his own experiences and problems to make others aware of things many people have to live and deal with.

Its a shame some people are so ignorant they can't see past the fact someone is gay or has depression. What a sad world you must live in.

He is a human being, and a super one. If more people took a leaf out of his book , we would all see and admit that as people, we get depressed, we worry about things, important and unimportand, and become lonely, and human, for the want of a better word. He may not always look in the bright side, but, he is very much liked, by ladies too.

He is a lovely, intelligent, articulate and talented man. He suffers from bi-polar condition, which is manic depression. It is an extremely difficult illness to manage which makes his success remarkable. Yes he is gay, but unlike some does not make an issue out of it. I believe he deserves respect for his talent and his survival, and for his writing, which is quite amazing. I do hope I can persuade you to give him another chance!!

Not the most eloquent description, but essentially true. Stephen Fry is a very engaging human being, blessed with sharp wit, charm, and a towering intellect. He is, in short, a veritable national treasure.

But 'issues', what 'issues'???

He is actually a very kind, compassionate, highly intelligent man. He cares about people. Most sufferers of chronic depression are very sensitive souls. Leave the man alone.

I like him
