I think he's pretty fair and he brings up things that ppl need to hear. But I have a hard time buying into what talk radio hosts of any kind say. They are there to get ratings.

The losers are rioting in France. When lefties lost here in 2000 and 2004, they blamed fraud, Diebold, 'voter intimidation,' etc and the media calls the winner 'divisive.' When they lost in Mexico they rioted for a month. Now they are doing the same in France. This reaction reminds me of when my toddler throws a fit on the floor if he doesn’t win at a board game. Do they just think that power is their birthright, and if they don't get it there must be some other explanation than that the people don't want them? Why do you think lefties are such poor losers?

The US had an election in 2000 that had to be decided by the Supreme Court, and the guy with the most popular votes didn't even win, and we had no riots in the streets. Makes you wonder why the French think they are more civilized than anyone else.

Iraq facts - cost $370 Billion to date of our Tax Money ( Or borrowed and neeeding to be paid back in future )
This money could buy the following in the USA
1 million teachers for six years
8 million police for one year
6 million port inspectors to protect our ports (99% of freight enters country this way )
700 elementary schools in each and every state

Not to mention the billions lost to fraud and theft.

Or, the over 3,0000 American dead soldiers and countless Iraqi's dead.

Does anyone , republican or democrat, really believe that this money was well spent? Or, do you believe it was largey squandered by an incompetent government?

Recently a terrorist organization began showing a propiganda film, using a character that looks very much like Mickey Mouse to spread hatrid and racism. (you can see the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syUOIARPKs4)
What is your opinion of this?
Should the Disney lawyers be our next wave on the war on terror?

I would like to know how many people think these guards went too far. I do not know why they call them police, since I think they are better described as security guards or peace officers.
My own opinion is they did their job. If I were on patrol with a coworker at 2 am, and someone jumped out from the Bushes, I would think about not shooting to kill. If the teenager grabbed my fellow employee by the arm and neck, tried to get her gun, and threatened to kill her, I think I would shoot to kill at that point. I understand her partner yelled at him repeatively to stop. When he did not stop, her partner fatally shot him. I know for the mother, there is nothing worse than losing a son or daughter. My sympathies go out to his family. But why was a 15 year old out on the street at 2am? Why would he attack one of two armed guards in a bus parking lot? For some reason, this tragic child was not in his right mind. If they shot his leg,it might only make him mad. Just my humble opinion. Yours?

I have never heard if VT plans to tear down Norris Hall(?) and the other buildings where the horrible recent tragedy took place and build a memorial in place of the buildings, similar to what has been done in the past at other locations of mass tragedy.

Does anyone know what Virginia Tech plans to do with those sites?

Do you think R. Gere should have known not to act like a Westerner in a S. Asian country such as India where they don't even hold hands in public??

Isn't there a certain degree of knowledge that needs to be pertained about the custom and culture of a country before you visit there? I'm not saying I agree with the extreme reaction by Indians, but I would have expected some outrage at his behavior. I'm American born, and I still think it was inappropriate behavior for a married man to be kissing all over another woman.

(There are tourist guidebooks widely available. I'm sure Gere had one. All guides will till you that public displays of affection are highly shunned in S. Asian countries.)

They say that there is a shortage of gas, and that is why it is so expensive. Bull!!! I find it hard to believe that when people are traveling (summer and winter breaks, Spring Break, holidays, etc.) gas prices go up and otherwise, it stays the same. Funny that we have a "shortage" when it's traveling season...no?
