Iraq facts - cost $370 Billion to date of our Tax Money ( Or borrowed and neeeding to be paid back in future )
This money could buy the following in the USA
1 million teachers for six years
8 million police for one year
6 million port inspectors to protect our ports (99% of freight enters country this way )
700 elementary schools in each and every state

Not to mention the billions lost to fraud and theft.

Or, the over 3,0000 American dead soldiers and countless Iraqi's dead.

Does anyone , republican or democrat, really believe that this money was well spent? Or, do you believe it was largey squandered by an incompetent government?

Sorry folks.....3,000.....

Also, say what we will about the French, best healtcare system in free world and free College for all...perhaps $370 Billion could help pay for that. Or, defund the military a bit and do the same.

The money wasn't spent..... it just changed hands. It went from the tax payers to the oil/industrial investors. And the exchange was done at the cost of lower class men and womens lives.

We wasted so much money, withh all the money wepay in taxes we could be doing so much more with our money. Just think we could probably have universal healthcare so everyone who needed help could actually get it or even universal colleges where everyone could actually get an education not just those who can afford it. But hey for $370 billion George W. can say he did what daddy couldnt, he has no worries about money though he is making plenty off of the inflated gas prices.

No. But the Iraqi insurgents and Al-Qaeda did get a windfall in recruiting and money support.

You have too many 0s; there are not 30000 dead American soldiers.
The government is always inefficient, but I'm inclined to think yes, it has been worth it. Iraq is well on the way to becoming stable. Surely you didn't think they wouldn't need any support? And we have kept Al Qaeda busy far from our shores; we are building an ally (if we don't desert them again, (as we did after the Gulf War) and we are building credibility in the region. In other words, we have slowed down the global conflict and kept it from coming to a head too soon.
That's my analysis. I hope I live to see whether I'm right!

The government was incompetent because it didn't make the middle east an irradiated parking lot.
