No. Not at all.
It's all over the news and papers what they have been doing. ITV filmed border police who were meant to be checking vehicles in case she was being taken out the country. They were sat in their car eating and chatting and letting every vehicle go past without checking one.
They won't release a description of a suspect (say the law won't let them - yeah right)
Didn't even suggest a televised appeal - the parents were the one who organised it
The police there are a joke.

Thee canines proved that a lifeless physique became of their house, and blood and tissue containing dna comparable to Maddie became discovered interior the motor vehicle. think of if it would have been present in Murats abode and motor vehicle do you think of he may be a unfastened guy now sueing anybody ? NO he may be locked up and the main thrown away. yet strangely this odious pair are allowed to habit their very own version of an unproven and unfeasible abduction ,even as telling the police forces of two international places (who the two proportion the comparable end - the loss of existence of Maddie, by using the way) what to look at and the thank you to do it.. They have not replied 40 8 questions nor accomplished a reconstruction or maybe hunted for the undesirable female. in no way ever. And are raking in tens of millions off the gullible hundreds with a fraudulent fund. Kenneth Haigen robbed the fund of three hundred thousand pounds . Why are not they sueing him ? Why are they keen to allow it pass ? Is it because of the fact he knows of only how vile and corrupt those people and their followers are ? and that they don''t pick to disturb the hornets nest which his counsel provides you. during this entire farce a sprint female is now no longer right here and the gutless scum of the British media are too petrified to ask the questions that ninety% of the inhabitants pick to take heed to,which contain -"Why no longer ask to re open the case and answer the 40 8 questions,do a reconstruction and take a lie detector try ?" Has anybody have been given the balls to ask the all efficient McScams such an outright undemanding question? would not appear like does it? who's at the back of this obtrusive subterfuge ? It stinks to intense heaven and could no longer pass away until eventually the Mccanns initiate answering questions and assisting the police in the two international places to get to the backside of all this. They understand what befell to Maddie who do they think of they are attempting to youngster?

I just heard about this topic today via my MySpace page. I was in total shock because nobody has heard about it in the United States [a least I haven't seen it on the news at all] But in a bulletin, i saw that "The portugese police aren't giving up but they aren't 'searching as hard' " Sure people might give up hope of ever finding missing children but that's not the answer. You don't give up because if it was one of the police officers children, they would have people searching for the rest of their lives to find their child. I think they should be having a "country-wide" Europe search but I think they're doing that? Check the airlines to make sure they haven't seen anyone with a little girl fly out of the country because you never know. I'm just a teenager and I don't know what it would be like to lose my child. But I could imagine it being horrible.

They are doing more than they did to any other child that disapeared in portugal .... 180 agents from pj , 100 agents from gnr , special forces that worked in indonesia to help find survivers after the tsunami .... what more do you want ??
Out of 31 children that wetn missing last year in Portugal , 24 were found !! So don't say that they aren't ready for this kind of crimes
The problem with de british media is they think they should be apart of the investigation ... that is not the way things work over here .

If you've ever been to Portugal and been stopped by the Police out there, I can assure you, they are no joke.
It would be totally wrong for the Police to keep the family and the media totally in the loop.
The Police had strong leads to Ian Huntley days before we even got a sniff of what was going on.

very difficult to answer as we don;t know all the facts of what is being done.
BUT from where i am sat and from what i have seen on UK TV it seems that when the police said they thought Maddy was alive and within 3 km's...it was just said off the top of a policeman's head...no logic or fact in it!
I hope they have done extensive door to door searches and widened the search. I get feeling that they were slow to respond or react.

Doesn't sound like it. I haven't once seen a Portuguese police officer speak up on the news.

Well considering when you go to any of these countries and they scare the pants off you when you get of the plane with their guns in hand and god forbid you look then the answer from me is NO!
Perhaps they know something about this and cant say in case she is in real danger as it does seem odd to me come on our Embassy would not let them sit on their back sides over this. Or it is just their law they cant say it is difficult for everyone and I hope to god they find her.

Yes - It seems to me that this was planned from the beginning - the person/persons who took her obviously planned it and was watching biding their time for the right moment.
I hope that she has been taken by someone who is childless and will look after her - although obviously I would want her returned to her parents asap - but the alternative is hardly bearable to think about.
