I thought the pieces would completely almost dissapear, as the case of the one that hit the pentagon, and crashed in that field. Only pictures I ever saw was a handfull of pieces, that on closer inspection did'nt even belong to the same jet?

I saw yet another report that the White House is looking for a "War Czar" to coordinate the US government management of the war. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070506/ap_on_go_pr_wh/war_czar

Um, isn't that what we have a National Security Council for? Supposedly the point of this position is to cut through the red tape, but how does adding another layer of bueracracy help cut through red tape, especially when this guy will apparently be outside the chain of command.

Even the Heritage foundation thinks it's a loopy idea. Lord help us.

Who still think Bush is doing a good job? They have to know more Americans have died in Iraq than on 9/11, gas prices are at record highs as are oil company profits, salaries are at all time lows (except for CEO's)... There is simply no concievable way that someone in touch with reality can continue to support the Bush administration!

does anyone honestly think that Americans are ready for a black president without being hypocritical
we all know racism still prevails even in the 21st century in the good'ole US of A
and we all say we should judge people thru their credentials but not for the color of their skin
but hey in reality i think many of us wouldnt accept a black president ( if ever it happens)

why dont we see news that is ought to be told to the public
why does media only cover stories on hollywood stars or some rich person
for instance Paris Hilton getting sentenced to jail
is that even be considered as a prime time news in the mainstream electronic media or the Alec Baldwin Fiasco
i think these stories shouldnt have gone past the entertainment news or inside edition

I know the parents will have to live with the decision to leave their kids alone like they did for the rest of their lives but I am proper shocked at the way the media and news are skimming over the fact a couple left 3 children under in a hotel room alone.

Is this becuase they are a respectable older couple, both working as doctors?

If an un-married couple in their late teens found themselves in the same situation would the papers not be accusing them of neglect?

As a mum, it is something I would never have done.

why do radio and television stations start with W if east of the mississippi and K if west of the mississippi with the exception of kdka tv 2 and kdka 1020am pittsburgh and i do understand that its one of the first broadcasters of media in the country. do they start with those letters because its federally mandated or what?
