I am not asking about the delay (several minutes) between impact and collapse, which was very different for the two buildings. That is exceedingly complex. The first building hit was the last to fall. What I want to know is from initial movement toward the ground to the pile of rubble (less than 15 seconds), was the time involved consistent with building failure in your judgement. Plenty of time. Way too fast. Your thoughts, please.

Everytime I read the newspaper or watch the news, I get depressed. 99% of it is bad news. I know that bad things happen and it is news worthy. However, there are also good things happening that apparently go unnoticed. I wonder if the media just supplies a demand of a daily dose of depression or do people just not find positive news stories interesting?

It can not be about gun control, birth control, abortion, gay marrige, global warming, the Iraq war, or steroids, but it should be something important to the contry or the world, and debatable from two points of view for my paper. Any suggestions appreciated.

Here's what that nut al-Zwahiri said today:

"Al-Qaida is not merely for the benefit of Muslims," he said. "That's why I want blacks in America, people of color, American Indians, Hispanics, and all the weak and oppressed in North and South America, in Africa and Asia, and all over the world."

I hope no one believes for one minute that a change in White House leadership will lower the price of gasoline. Certainly not because we have a DEMOCRAT IN THE HOUSE. US whites and blacks have come to reflect middle eastern culture so much this society has been neutered. i think it makes those killing our military happy that no one here in the USA is up in arms over gas prices. Commodity prices have always been driven by conflict!! Just walking away from Iraq will not lower gas prices. Walking away from the middle east will not lower gas prices. I think our culture reflections are WORSE THAN SOVIET PROPAGANDA!

Yesterday me and my freind were walking down the street and saw a homeless man on the side walk he grabed hold of my friend's skirt and asked us for money. he pulled up da
blanket that was on top of him and we
saw that he did not have a leg he needed money for that so he says. we did not have any money so we walked on. we did feel bad though. the next day we saw him in front
of our school it was like he kept coming closer.today he was on our soccer field .
I'm scared tell me what to do.

Take a cop for example. They appear to make up a story about him being "above the law"! Some say it's not true!
