In 2003, Fox won an appeal in a Florida court, saying that it can basically lie with impunity on the news.
This isn't interesting?
http://www.projectcensored.org/publications/2005/11.html
"...During their appeal, FOX asserted that there are no written rules against distorting news in the media. They argued that, under the First Amendment, broadcasters have the right to lie or deliberately distort news reports on public airwaves. Fox attorneys did not dispute Akre’s claim that they pressured her to broadcast a false story, they simply maintained that it was their right to do so..."
Besides showing false news for the benefit of chemical companies like the Monsanto Corporation, Fox News is blatantly a de-facto Ministry of Propaganda for the Bush administration - Cheney says he always asks for the TV to be turned on to Fox News when he checks into a hotel; the current press secretary for the Bush White House is a former Fox News anchor! This says it all about the symbiotic relationship between government and a mass media outlet, propagating government policy.
People like Bill O'Reilly on Fox incite hatred against all Americans who are critical of the administration, by constantly labelling anyone critical of the administration as "far-left subversives" and the like.
This practice amounts to slander, and it should be criminalized, in my opinion, as should be intentionally broadcasting news known to be false.

A little over 60 years ago a certain foreign minister perfected
the so called Big Lie technique of Mass propaganda.
As a big believer that War was the answer he did his utmost
with his considerable propaganda skills to prepare his people to believe that a large scale military conflict would be
the only logical and moral solution.
He helped draw his people into a war which after a few years
began going disastrously wrong, but the lies only redoubled and grew more desperate and bigger and bigger.
In the end he committed suicide.
Fox news seem to have studied their classics and have eagerly adopted many techniques of this man.
Maybe because they're close on the political right spectrum.
Unfortunately they have decided to ignore the harsher lessons
history should have taught them.
You can fool some people some of the time, and even some
people all of the time but not all the people all of the time.

I listen to CNN alot more than I do Fox News. Fox News
has gotten pretty good at stepping around any question sent to them.

I have no respect for Fox News. The best thing about it is Greta Van Sustern.
Everything else is propaganda

They suck!, mainly because it is so biased. I watch CNN, which isn't much better.
Actually, these days especially, I take all news like a grain of salt. All the news is spoon fed by the Govt. anyway.
