The universe has gone too politically correct....and we have to abide to standards set by moderates whom judge what is fair or not! Whether we offend peeps or not!!!! So, it offends me not that the volunteers could be biased, prejudiced and racist, but could be removed due to dislike for no other reason other than a dislike of name or avatar??? Let alone find the question questionable or worthy of a debateable response....??

Won't have to worry for long.
Financial pages say Mr Gates has his eyes on Yahoo,
and is ready to make an offer.
Then you will need a licence from Micro to even answer
a question, let alone ask one.

it's not censorship
Yahoo is private company with public stock
as is since it's a private company 1st amendment does not extend to the private sector
so if they want to regulate ( it['s not censorship ) or edit content at will
then they can
and that's perfectly fine
for an entertainment venue who must answer to their stock holders and investors and make a profit
you are free to publish you own paper / blog / zine whatever and say what ever rant or babble you want
it doesn't mean anyone will listen

They also take unexplained extended “coffee breaks” and at odd times loose your home page and your avatar pic.
Sometimes I wonder if it’s Yahoo that is dinking with the servers or some unannounced unidentified guest.

Freedom of speech usually means freedom from government interference. Since Yahoo is a commercial venture with the goal of making a profit, it may eliminate anything it thinks may interfere with that.
I don't like it, but that's the reality of the situation.
