Photography on war usually brings a negative impact to viewers. Think about the Vietnam war when it was termed the 1st "Living room War" since just about everyone had a TV at that time and the war was on every news channel. People really got a glimpse as to how ugly war is and it changed a lot of minds.

When I see them going off to war, in combat, etc. I cry. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
When I see them come home, hug their family. I cry.
EVERY SINGLE TIME. I don't know what these hero's have been through, how they may have been changed by it, the sacrifices their families have made.
For my outlook? It is not political. It is more of a "Mothers Heart" -I want them all home. I want to figure out another way to do this. I can't help wonder, if it were all the "Mothers Hearts" from Both Side running this whole deal...could we make the crying stop??
God Bless our Troops - I will still cry for you. I am ashamed I have not done more. Truly ashamed. I should not turn away from the pictures, but use them to motivate to action. Thanks for the question. I learned something about myself and will try harder.
Good luck on your paper!!!

When you watch soldiers with smiles while boarding their plane the only thing you can feel is pride but when the only thing coming home is a casket with their remains all you can feel is anger. Not at the soldier but, towards the so called president that sent them to their doom.
