I have on a number of occations stated that all of this talk about bringing the troops home before the War on Terror was done would bring terrorists to our soil, becuase we are seen as weak. Just like the FLN and France once France gave up in Algeria and stated that the war was lost and started talking about bringing the troops home Yosef Saadi brought his terror to Paris. Is the foiled terror attack we saw yesterday a response from AL Qaeda to let us know that if we leave the Middle East that they will follow us home? Ft Dix is one of hte main training bases for the Army.

why is everyone complaing about gas and not riding a bike to work its safer for the environment anyways. did you know that in eruope gas is 4$ a liter thats 12$ a gallon most either catch a bus or ride there bike to work some have mopeds or motorcycles i dont see them complaing about the gas prices.
We as americans have it so well of but still complain why?

I know some people will not agree but i think something looks very suspious with her parents but i dont know what i just have this stupid gut feeling that there's more to the story. Apperently there was a news report saying not only had they just gone out for dinner that night and left the 3 young children by themselves but they had been doing it every night since they had arrived in portugal? I didn't see that news report but my mum told me about it! I know people have sympathy for the parents and as for me i have no sympathy for them only for Madeleine and her brother and sister. Whats everyones judgement on this? I know a few people might be pissed off with me for being suspious over the parents but thats my gut feeling.

For so long he has made dumb or inappropriate comments. What kind of loser is he?? We've all heard of 'Spoonerisms' and I reckon there will be an entry somewhere in an Encyclopedia very soon on 'Bushisms'. This fool should not be let out on his own or permitted to speak unless he has a very clear and concise script.

I'll preempt any of the expected comments by saying that I don't consider myself a 'liberal as it's called in the USA.

I am not sure how many people are aware of this travesty, but do some research on it if you can. The FBI was after an imam whose name they found in Afghanistan. An informant used a pizza shop owner, Mohammed Mosharref Hossain to get at him and now the both of them are awaiting trial for sponsoring terrorism. Why? Look into it and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I don't know about the imam. He might be guilty as hell, but Hossain was framed by the FBI. This is a fine example of the abuse of power and shows us how unjust some cops can be.

What does it mean from former Yugoslavia? Where exactly are these men from? To me (and anyone else who used to live in former Yugoslavia), it is clear these men are Albanians whose independence from Serbia we so wholeheartedly support. Why isn't the media saying "Albanian men from Kosovo or Serbia or wherever they had come from"? Why are they saying former Yugoslavia when the country as such ceased to exist a long time ago?

And what do those who support Kosovo independence have to say now? Is this just another isolated incident (along with Bosnian (also former Yugoslavia) Muslim boy who was shooting people in Salt Lake City not so long ago)?

if a school was thinking about switching to uniforms, i would recommend that the students directly affected should vote on the issue. Sometimes students whos parents have a lower income wont be able to afford uniforms or some students may feel that uniforms are needed because they are tired of people wearing tight tops and sagged pants. if more students voted for uniforms but some people voted against it because they couldnt afford to buy 5 or more sets of uniforms, there should be a scholarship program where students could get uniforms for a lower price. sometimes students have a different idea than their parents and teachers , it would be fair for everyone directly affected to vote, and submit ideas and thoughts to the schools administration.

I dont care about spelling or grammar, all that matters is a concluding sentence, that will leave a lasting impression

I've been following the story of Madeleine McMann,a 3 year old girl, who was abducted from her families holiday apartment whilst in the Algarve Portugal. I believe this is the 8th night she is missing. I feel awfully sad for her parents, and have absolutely no idea what they must be feeling. I sincerely hope she will be found alive and well. How does everyone else feel about this situation? Has anyone said prayers for her and her family? Its truly a scary world we live in today.
