I've been following the story of Madeleine McMann,a 3 year old girl, who was abducted from her families holiday apartment whilst in the Algarve Portugal. I believe this is the 8th night she is missing. I feel awfully sad for her parents, and have absolutely no idea what they must be feeling. I sincerely hope she will be found alive and well. How does everyone else feel about this situation? Has anyone said prayers for her and her family? Its truly a scary world we live in today.

Yes i'm aware that children go missing everyday all over the world, but I was asking about this because its a current event, and because its been all over the TV in the past week. I'm not saying that I care any 'less' about the thousands of other children who go missing, but i'm asking about this particular one because it happens to be on my mind at the moment.

And sorry if I gave the impression i'm 'shocked' by these events. I'm not, and i haven't been living in a cave with wolves my whole life either! Its just these events have led me to think 'What have we come too'? I know this sort of crime has been happening for years, but isn't anyone asking why? Why is it getting more and more frequent? Thats all I'm saying.

Obviously you are not from the United States as children "go missing" practically everyday.

"Parents should treat their children as they would a million dollars, since our children are the most valuable things in our lives. For instance, all parents should ask themselves if they would leave a million dollars out in the open and unattended in an automobile, a hotel room, out in the front yard, or alone in a home. People would never leave a million dollars out in the open, they would guard that money and secure it, and the same should apply to our most valuable, precious children. Think before leaving your child alone or unattended."

Where have you been? That kind of crime has been going on for years plus there isn't an end in sight no matter what precautions are taken.

first of all in no way pass away a new child/preschooler interior the front backyard on my own. Strangers, automobiles, animals... there are dissimilar disadvantages available. 2nd.. tell them in no thank you to pass off with a stranger whatever they tell the youngster. Play act eventualities... toddlers learn quickest and ideal by using play. eventualities like an unusual guy talking approximately having a doggy, a stranger telling them their mum and dad advised them to come again and get your new child, etc. Have a protection word.. every person that would %. your new child up might desire to something befall you...in the event that they do no longer understand the word the youngster would not pass with them. prepare and play act to maintain it sparkling.

I will pray for her. The first idiot does not represent how most Americans feel about children, especially me. I will continue to pray for her and her family.
