I have on a number of occations stated that all of this talk about bringing the troops home before the War on Terror was done would bring terrorists to our soil, becuase we are seen as weak. Just like the FLN and France once France gave up in Algeria and stated that the war was lost and started talking about bringing the troops home Yosef Saadi brought his terror to Paris. Is the foiled terror attack we saw yesterday a response from AL Qaeda to let us know that if we leave the Middle East that they will follow us home? Ft Dix is one of hte main training bases for the Army.

The answer is 'yes' this is the beginning of of more American blood shed on American soil and 'no' it's not a response from Al Qaeda. The only thing that surprises me about this is the fact that it hasn't happened already from one end of the country to the other. The "Ft. Dix Six" were morons! Even if guns were illegal, the fact is all the components necessary to make bombs, big bombs, can be picked up in any hardware store! All it takes is the will to do it. The Ft. Dix Six were caught because they were morons just goofing around with the idea of killing people. To really do something like that you have to hate, really hate. That kind of irrational hate is rare here in the land of milk and honey and is usually confined to people who are obviously, predictably nuts like the VT Killer. All it takes is the will to do it.....

You apparently missed the announcement by Al Queda that Americans are targets everywhere. The old argument that fighting the terrorists in Iraq will allow us to deal with them only over there just doesn't fly anymore. These people are fanatics and are willing to die in the process of killing us. If they get a chance to kill us on American soil, they WILL take it. This is a war that is probably going to be fought for decades, or until the last fanatic either dies or changes his/her mind.
