nothing can be done with all of the people who keep answering negatively, we can stand and make a difference, but no one wants to, we as a people, not just americans can stand and tell the oil companies we want lower prices, they have a huge supply which is more than our demand. when a company makes a 4 billion dollar profit in one quarter sales dont lie, they have the supply we have a demand but the two still dont add up, and for the ignorant out there who look at the statistics THE OIL COMPANIES DICTATE THE STATISTICS!!!!!!! their goal is to make money, not a quality product that will help mankind, money is their only goal, and they have us by the b**** because we are letting them.

Hmmmm, What do you want done? Prices lowered? (wouldn't we all) Gas prices will stay high until alternative fuel sources can compete with gas and force oil companies to lower prices. Exxon Mobile made 9.3 Billion dollar profit in the first quarter of 2007 (Jan-April).

I did see yesterday on Yahoo news that in some countries Saudi Arabia gas costs like .47 / gallon and .25 in Venezuela. But remember Europe has been paying higher prices than the U.S. for a long time.

The government really can't tell oil companies what to charge for gas, we live in a free market.

I hate the price of gas I'm spending about 100 per week on fuel alone and my wife (she's a mail person) spends between 150 and 180 per week. She recovers most of that money on reimbursed mileage but it's still hard to stop and put 30 to 50 dollars a day in your gas tank.

It will take some time because the refineries cannot switch to summer blend gasoline overnight. During the maintenance time there will be reduced capacity which leads to less gasoline availability. With reduced availability goes higher prices. Gasoline prices are still lower than they were in 1981, when adjusted for inflation.

We must tell the tree hugger liberal freaks who are crippling America that we will not allow them to dictate to us the way they have been doing for decades. They keep us from drilling for the oil we know is there, keep us from building new and more efficient refineries, and they stand in the way of every attempt to make America less dependent on foreign oil. They say they are doing this because they love the environment, yet their leaders, like the hypocrite Al Gore, use far more energy than the vast majority of Americans. The truth is, liberals hate America and hate human progress, and we should ignore them and build a better America by drilling for oil everywhere we can find it.
When I was in 4th grade my liberal teacher told us natural gas would run out in 15 years. That was in 1973 and we still have natural gas. she was a liberal. She lied.

It will take people to drive less and use less oil.

It will take people walking to work and riding bikes.

It will take people buying the smallest car instead of the biggest.

P.S. America has some of the cheapest gas in the world.

In another words it will NEVER happen because people are too selfish.
