Considering she broke her probation multiple times...yeah, I think it is fair...and long overdue.

It sounds fair.
She was convicted of an alcohol/driving offense and given a suspended license and probation. She violated the terms of her probation and it looks like the judge found that the evidence showed that she did so "knowingly." I.e. she knew full well what she was not permitted to do, and did it anyway. She's tried to explain it away, but it sounds really thin.
It's not any help that she and her parents sound really pompous about this.
The only way to tell if this is really fair is to look and see what this judge did to other people in similar circumstances. If it's the same for John Q. Public, then it sounds fair to me. Also, the Hiltons can test out the fairness of this very easily. They can post a bond and file an appeal. That will keep her out of jail while they demonstrate to a higher court that the sentence was unlawful. They have the means to do that, if there is a basis for it.

Guess so if that is the regular punishment but personally, its a good enough punishment, considering that there's a hell lot of people out there criticizing and bitching about her and all that. Stuff like this sucks 1000 times for celebrities because the whole world knows and will talk about it. Anyways, am not a Paris Hilton fan, even though I like her song "Nothing in this world" but hate the music video because it freaks me out. Just am on the neutral side.

Yeah perfectly fair. In fact it should have been more. I don't understand why the celebrities, rich people do not hire their personal drivers so that they can do lot of things at a time. Like while driving to work, a party or a conference they make use of time constructively by talking to some one or checking emails and replying to them etc. All this may cost just 1% of their pay checks towards the salary for the driver. In countries like India every celebrity or rich person have their drivers. Hey celebrities and rich executives think about it. I've got 30 years of driving experience and ready to offer my service to any celebrity.

I think she should have gotten the whole 90 that she could have done if you ask me. She needs to own up to her mistakes. I don't care if she has people who read her mail and didn't advise her of the situation. She should know better than to have been driving drunk then while suspended. Maybe this will show the innocent little girls who look up to her that she's not all she's cracked up to be and they shouldn't strive to be like her.

yes, it's fair and totally justified. if it was anyone else who was caught repeatedly offending they would be punished; she shouldnt get away with it just because she's paris hilton. What makes her so special?
