Twelve things nobody cares about?

The whole campaign was about ending the war, but all the democrats do is whine, and in the end, they give Bush everything he asks for! An all republican congress couldn't have done it any better!

Were the democrats lying when they campaigned?

I often hear people say that the troops in Iraq are "protecting our rights and freedoms" and "fighting for our way of life" etc etc..

How is that?

While I agree that going after Osama Bin Laden would have of course protected America... How does Invading Iraq do that? In fact, there are countries that have a MUCH bigger chance of trying to attack the USA (such as North Korea) than Iraq did. Yes, I agree that Sadaam needed to be ousted in some way (for the sake of the Iraqi people).. But that in no way corresponds with the American way of life, etc.

I am not condemning the soldiers themselves. They are doing what they are told of course. They surely joined the armed forces to protect the country, etc..

I have no issue with the USA becoming involved with things when it makes sense (such as helping Kuwait), etc.. But I take issue with saying all the reasons that don't make sense, etc..

I'm just curious how people view all this. And no need to be rude, I am just curious.

For someone that sure "dished" a lot of it out she sure can't take it. I guess she is threatened by Elisabeth. It does go to show... a lib can't hold up to the cold hard facts for an extended period of time. When they get confronted by someone who does not see it their way... they run. Can't say that I am sad she is leaving, early at that. Oh wait Rosie.... you forgot your back bone.... uh... I guess that was a prop too.

Why is it that people whine and complain when the companies raise prices while making record profits- yet when others call for a boycot, people go right on buying it anyways? I understand you've got to work, but for 1 day no one can find an alternative? Hard to believe!

I'm not looking for opinions and judgements, a simple yes or no would suffice.

I am reffering to the McCanns and what Gerry said in the interiview today and want to get public opinion on this.

This is the distance from the apartment to the Tapas bar they were dining

I have finally worked out how Fox News works.
Fair:
Give people like Coulter, Bernard Greenberg, Dick Morris, Michelle Malkin, Gingrich, et al, ALL the time necessary to say whatever they want. Pretty 'fair', isn't it?

Balanced:
Get some Liberal or Democrat on their shows, but interrupt them all the time, and then apologise with the famous quote: 'Sorry, we have run out of time'. (Hannity and O'Reilly have got this down to a fine art.) Quite 'balanced', not so?

'Fair and Balanced' indeed!
The Republican/Conservative interpretation of the concept?

Should Jonathan Castillo be given the death penalty for destroying a little girl's life? Comestic surgery has been necessary to repair the girl. Does this crime cross the threshold of what is allowable by even liberal's standards? SHould he be deported? GIven an honoary degree from Harvard or NYU? Will liberals have him over to Woooooooooooooooooork in their homes? Will liberals invite him to their daughter's sleep overs? HOw many lib lawyers will come to his aid to "PROTECT HIS CIVIL RIGHTS"???!!!! this piece of crap has no rights and should be put in a hole in the ground...yes or no?

Think back in time to the late 70’s and early 80’s. What was the big environmental hype at that time? It was the hole in the Ozone layer. If you believe today’s environmentalists this is how they explained away the huge hole in their argument about why between the 40’s and the early 80’s, CO2 was increasing, but global temperatures were falling. Falling so much that at the time they were predicting the next Ice Age. They dismiss the obvious and documented connection between global temperature and solar activity in favour of this being a result of our use of CFC gasses and claim victory for preventing the next Ice Age.

So, here is the point. If the over use of CFC gasses was going to take us to the next Ice Age a mere 20 years ago and now they are banned we are heading for catastrophe over Global Warming. Surely the most effective way to prevent the Global Warming catastrophe in the short to medium term is to do a controlled release of CFC’s over a period of time back into the atmosphere to restore the balance. Not enough to damage the Ozone layer but just enough to halt any rise in global temperature and maintain current levels.

Personally I think it is all complete nonsense and they should take another look at the comparative data between solar activity, CO2 and global temperatures.

Radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of anti-Americaan militias & death squads, has returned to Iraq. "US officials say they are hopeful that the reappearance of radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr (mook-TAH'-duh ehl SAH'-dur) signals that he wants to "play a positive role in Iraq."

A National Security Council spokesman says al-Sadr has a chance to be a part of the country's political reconciliation process, but says everyone will have to wait and see if he and his followers participate."

I know this is an extremely distasteful thought, but it seems that with all the unanswered questions from the 9-11 investigation, there is something sinister going on.

I think this presidency had the power and motive to allow 9-11 to occur.

It is widely believed, that the twin towers were "aided" in there demolition.
Engineers have agreed that it's design would not fail under the stated collisions, and would certainly not come apart as the government has explained. I think a compartmentalized group in our government knew about the attacks and set demolition charges to enhance the buildings failure.

The motive was to basically steal the biggest budget surplus in US history and create an excuse to escalate US military actions in the middle east.

I think we have a shameless government in Wash. D.C., it's turned it's back on the American public for greed!

his people that it is time to stop the WAR and bring the troops back! It seems the cause in Iraq is over filling his pockets with oil money not terrism. Anyones else feel he is draining the American economy by putting money into a war where we have no reason being in? How long can a president go against the majority of a nation? Lets hope he resigns from embarrasment or is impeached because I see no end to his ill-logical thinking.

I am not for or against any paticular political party--but I am for a better country than we have right now....

The majority of handguns used for crime in Canada were "PURCHASED" legally in the US...they kill us and of course the rest is a given. It is a question. And did we teach terrorists to fly planes?..NO. All guns in Canada are registered; even Grandpa's musket. When the forefathers of the US gave the right to possess arms, were they really thinking of today's weapons?...so that argument is taken...what else?...oh I am a "liberal Canadian fool"...now that is covered...oh, the Muslim I ate breakfast beside, the breakfast served by an immigrant who we cherish, who has child who will become a doctor to treat all of us, despite economic level,.. who are wounded by American weapons that can be raffled in Virginia for "protection" from a violent society, he is welcome too. This is not a "rant" so pass up on that one. It is backup to the question. And for the guy with the glasses, does anyone else on here think they should be "rose" coloured?....question people...
