quoting...
"Enough is enough," Obama, an Illinois senator, declared, adding that Bush should not get "a blank check to continue down this same, disastrous path."

Does the "disastrous path" Obama refers to mean
the 17 Billion in farm subsidy and (gotta love it) funding toward natinalized child health care that the president never asked for and is being blackmailed to authrorize.
The lack of a roll call vote on war funding for the pelosi ite extremists to continue to propogate the masked power grab from the razor thin manadate of 06.
Hillary Clinton and Obama BOTH declining to go on record about funding Iraq for "heavens" per chance offending the pelosi ite extremist voters of pro or con persuasion.
Coming inches close to going on vacation for the Memorial Day holiday while soldiers are left dangling due to the Pelosi/Reid regime's posturing.
Democrat John Murtha put it best...(quoting)
"I feel a direction change in the air,"
problem is its got a foul odor to it

Hi! I am a 29-year-old father. My wife and I have had a wonderful life together. God blessed us with a child too. she is 10 months old. Not long ago did the doctors detect brain cancer in her little body.

There is only one way to save her and that is an operation. Sadly we don't have the money for the operation. AOL and Zdnet (in Zimbabwe ) have agreed to help us.

The only way they can help is this: If you send this email to other people. AOL will track this email and count how many people get it. Every person that opens this email and sends it to at least 3 people will give us 32c. (in dollars) Please help us.

I'm doing Yr 12 French at school, and for an official resource, it would help me heaps to get my hands on a real, original newspaper from l'Ile de la Reunion (a French island near Africa). Does anyone know where I could buy or find one in Victoria, or on the net?

Why is there no pictures of people who are injured or killed in Iraq? In books on wars in the past you see gory pictures of dead and injured people, but i havnt seen one picture like this of todays wars.

In light of smoking bans in businesses and workplaces all around the country, I find this Question relevant and interesting.

TODAY'S HEADLINE:
Study: Smoking forbidden in most U.S. households.
• CDC survey: Nearly three out of four U.S. homes ban smoking
• Increase from 43 percent banning smoke 10 years ago

THE STORY:

Based on recent reports and documentaries surrounding the 9/11 tragedy, does anyone think that there was any suspicious events at that time i.e the small hole in the pentagon made by a jet plane and the way that the third wtc building that allegedly housed a lot of gvt files (including the enron episode),suddenly fell to the ground without being hit by a plane. Also the witness reports of bombs going off and military planes being spotted overhead.
The reason i ask is that i recently viewed a video called loose change and i found it quite intresting.
Anyone have any views/opinions ?

Our gas prices rise. We claim price gouging, and abuse by the oil companies. They defend themselves saying that demand has risen, and accidents/unplanned/planned maitenance has lowered production. They don't build new plants because it's costly, and takes a long time to get through environmental red tape. My question becomes, why aren't oil companies taking these profits, and using them to increase the speed of repairs and open new refineries despite the red-tape? If production starts to fall, wouldn't most companies readjust their fund distribution to restore production as quickly as possible? Is there any way to get details on the "accidents" and "maitenance" on these refineries so we can know what is slowing oil production so much that we haven't had a break from rising gas prices for quite a while?

Instead of sending US soldiers to fight in Iraq, let's bring them all home, and take all of the prisoners doing time in US correctional facilities, and ship them to Iraq. Give them enough weapons and supplies to last for a few months. If they can get their butts out of there alive, they're free to live where ever they end up. In the process, they'll probably blow away a few insurgents and wreak enough havoc to scare the hell out of anyone wanting to cause problems over there.

They left her alone unattended which resulted in Maddie been taken from them they then turn the whole situation into a money making machine.

In regards to the whole affair they act like minor celebs, why would they put a diary on the maddy page? why would we want to know about maddies parents minute to minute existence? why is Maddies Mum going on daily runs when her daughters missing? Why have the media made so much of this and hardly a mention of the girl that went missing from Newcastle. The whole affiar stinks of some kind of " reality obduction " tv programme.

It's hard for me to be proud for the fallen soldiers or cry for them when I think that their lives were wasted in an unneccesary war. Why can't we just send special forces and leave the regulars at home? This war is just like Vietnam. You can't tell who the enemy is or where they'll strike next. We attacked Sadaam when he wasn't responsible for 9/11. We sent people in to avert a tragedy from weapons that didn't exist. Are we ignoring the fact that the terrorists cells are here in America training for their next attack? Shouldn't we be mostly concerned with protecting our homeground instead of punching into the dark?
