We realized that a plant that we have, was not draining properly. It is some sort of tree that my wife has had for 20 years. About 3-4 days ago she noticed alot of leaves had fallen off and yesterday she moved it and discovered that it was full of water. A cork pad we had it on had swelled and plugged the drainhole. We removed the pad and water drained out for a few hours. What should we do next? The tree does have alot of new growth and untll very recently it was very healthy.

I don't smoke a lot, so I keep my cigs in the frig to keep them from getting stale. My uncle says that doing this causes the cigarettes t o absorb odors, like baking soda, so I shouldn't do that. Is that true?

I have a brick shed, the door is ok but not great. I was going to alarm it and add it onto the house alarm, but will installing a stronger door be better? I know its easy to say both, but alarming will cost 20 quid a new door probably 100 quid.

I've got 40 year old Craftsman tools handed down by my grandfather. They still work great. I recently purchased several NEW Craftsman power tools such as a 2 HP router and a 1/2" drive 18 volt drill. I've also purchased some hand tools such as a 90 degree corner clamp.

Almost all of my recent Craftsman purchases have resulted in catastrophic failure of the tools. My drill LITERALLY burst into a cloud of smoke, my router locked up tight, my corner clamp broke (and they wouldn't replace the clamp saying it wasn't a "hand tool", it had only been about 6 weeks), and my regular clamps' grips came off.

Seems like Craftsman has really gone WAAAAYYYY downhill lately. I won't make any more Craftsman purchases. I recently bought a Ryobi 18v drill, but then I heard that Ryobi makes some of Craftman's stuff. Is it true? Did I essentially purchase another crappy product?

I am going to be moving into a place that will have an outside fuel tank. I was thinking about putting regular oil in it for the summer and filling the rest with K2 in the fall...is this a good idea and what are the ratios for a cold place (Maine) for mixing, so costs don't get out of control?

I have my garden tilled. I had clay soil so I added gypsum and a little sand. Its about 4 inches in some spots, 6 inches in other spots, so do I need to till deeper? Planting just about everything. I have some seedlings ready to go in and I have some packets of seeds. What do I need to do to this soil? Does it need to set for a few days after tilling or is it best to put plants in right away? Also, do I water the dirt first to make it moist? Or plant them in dry ground and then water after?

Any thoughts or advice is appreciated. I have a very large garden, large enough for a family of nine. (hopefully).
