Ive heard of a web site that sells cd`s of unusual sounds, like a cd just of a washing machine, or one just of a hair dryer. I would like to find out the web address as i have a friend who can only sleep with a hair dryer, or twin tub going. So ithought that a cd would be bettter than possibly setting fire to the house.

A shower running off your combi boiler.
Or an electric shower, say about 8KW.

The price of gas seems to be going up a lot. Electric seems a bit more stable.
But which is cheaper minute per minute.

I have a 3 level home, cellar, main, and upstairs. My hot air furnace heats the main properly and has the thermostat, but the upstairs north facing bedrooms remain cold in the winter. There are 4 cold air returns on main floor, but none upstairs, except the spiral stairwell. I have a pellet stove that runs in the cellar that keeps the main floor supplemented and warmer, thus not kicking on the air furnace too often. I put two open floor grates to let some cold air go into the cellar from the main floor, and I also tried putting a grate in my son's upstairs bedroom floor to allow some cold air to move downstairs. None of this has seemed to help the problem and it's still only 63 upstairs in his room. I know the pellet stove is keeping the furnace from starting, but how can I get that cold air to leave the north bedrooms upstairs? There are 3 heat registers upstairs including one in my son's room. I thought that putting the grate in his room would get some of the air moving.

I have a Japanese White Pine bonsai tree It is looking abit sad, needles seem to be dry despite me watering it regularly. It is still in the pot I bought it in (which was about 6 months ago), which is a proper Bonsai container. It sits on my matlepiece which is in sunlight for most of the day.
I am struggling to find any useful hints/info on looking after it and making sure it remains healthy - help!

On my two stage snowblowers i always have to spray WD40 on the auger assembly, and chute to prevent the snow from sticking. Whenever the time comes getting them started for winter i never have any WD40. What else can i use to prevent snow from sticking?

Hi I was just wondering if anyone knows what these old statues are called? I'm looking for statues that I've always seen in peoples kitchens, specifically my Grandmothers kitchen. The ones I have seen are always a off white color and are maybe 5 inches tall. They usually are shaped like people and at the bottom say some type of funny or clever sentence. Does anyone know what these are called?

How much would a VERY SMALL, COCKROACH FREE, loft in a fairly safe area of new york cost? I would be going to a fashion design school called PARSONS. I would also like to live somewhere that has good places to eat and shop and stuff.

I'm looking for a new house to buy. Finally, I've found a very nice new home community with prices that I can afford.
The problem, they have a big house (for me!) about 2700 sf with no upgrades and no nice view - decent light though. They have a house about 2200 sf that have the same price, but several upgrades and a partial mountain view.
The difference is mainly larger bedrooms and living/dining areas in the first, plus an additional den.
Which house would you buy?
