Without using harmful chemicals? Just ask them to leave politely. If they refuse then be more firm and shake your finger.
Otherswise there are ant repellents that you can place near the point of entry where the ants get into the kitchen.

Get to the source of the problem. The ants are not coming from your table are they. They are probably coming from a small gap at the bottom of your kitchen floor or something. The slightest drop of something sweet that is not cleaned up and the ants will detect it. Clean your kitchen floor and that might solve your ant problem. Also, give your table a good scrub with an antibacterial solution.

In the lid of a small jar (can even be pop bottle cap or lid from ketchup bottle) and place a small amount of a sweet liquid or syrup in it. add a quarter teaspoon of boric acid powder and mix.. Place lid near the table leg, or the odoor or window where the ants come in. The ants are attracted by the sweetness. They eat and carry it back to their home. Seeing as ants share everyhing, this will aslo help towards depleting the nest.

Ants become a nuisance when they enter homes. Instead of spending money on costly pest control, you can get rid of ants by removing the food source and using soap water.
I found the information at http://www.pests.in useful.

there's a product at OSH called TERRO that works great. particularly it quite is an analogous product that the pest administration guy at my artwork informed me he makes use of professionally. that's a liquid which you sqirt right into a plastic field "homestead" factor. it quite is the only way i replaced into able to do away with the ants in my kitchen. there is one disadvantage although. the way it works is that it attracts all the ants to return feed, ensuing in a particularly vast swarm. in basic terms place the "homestead" in the cupboard and close the door so which you dont could examine them. They take the poison returned to the colony subsequently killing the colony. you're able to keep the field packed with the liqiud so that they dont pass and discover food someplace else. it is going to take some days to artwork yet all the ants will in basic terms disappear sometime and additionally you would be responsive to it labored.
