i have anoying crickets in my basement and want to know any remidies to kill them besides with a shoe.. i mean poisons or deterents

We have looked everywhere and are unable to determine the source. It smells like a cross between sewer gas and a dead animal. There are no flys and the ajacent rooms do not smell.

I'm going to put a layer of palm fronds on my tiki bar roof and i wondered if there was a way to keep them green. If not, no problem, but would be cool if i could.

I've always wanted to grow pumpkins, big, small, huge, gourds..whatever pumpkins. This is my first pumpkin patch and I was so proud at how they were growing until the other day I went out to look at them. Almost all were torn into by something. I think its either crows or wild turkeys..how do I keep them from destroying the whole garden? Help Please..

My wife and i and our 8 month old son are moving from Collinsville OK to Seattle WA in 2 weeks. We have been planning this move for months but we recently have started geting rustrated with the amount of help we are not getting from UHaul. It also seems that everyone else, is twice as expensive. We want to get there with our stuff (about 1.5 bedrooms worth) and our midsized car.

These are the options we have considered: U Pack, PODS, trading our 2 cars for an SUV (Ford Explorer?) and hauling a trailer with our stuff in it. But we don't want a crappy SUV. Something that will be reliable. It will be our only transportation besides the bus and our feet in Seattle.

I just had an estimate done and I was quoted a price based on 1 zone. The contractor told me that my house did not need 2 zones. I thought all houses needed at least 2 zones.

He's rented me the most beautiful flat (brand new, former show home), refused to accept a deposit, paid my moving expenses and offered to have re-decorated any bits I don't like (there aren't any). I bought a pair of sunglasses off Ebay (it was a buy now thing). Right after I paid with paypal I got an alert that said the bid had been canceled because there was an unautherized third party. The seller sent me an email after that saying that the payment was accepted and the glasses shipped. Was I scammed or will I receive the glasses...help please :)

I live about 10 minutes from the beach. when i leave the windows open during the day, my house is very comfortable. I like to sit and read by the window. As the day goes on, it gets hotter and hotter in here. I have measured it over 85 degrees by bedtime!

We have spent much time & money landscaping our back yard, which borders on a stream and forest within the city limits of Ottawa ON. These overgrown gophers are so destructive! I have been putting out a live trap with various vegetables/fruits in hope of capturing & relocating, but the bait is ignored. HELP!!!
