We are looking for a great small town near some sort of major metropolitan area of developed college town that offers plenty of places to walk, parents who still read to their kids, community events, and a great coffee shop to unwind (preferably not a seattle chain). Would like nice springs and falls, good schools, not too hot, not too cold, not too rich, not too poor. Why does the good American small town be so elusive? They all seem to have been papered over in strip malls and filled with people who commute hours a day. I want a real community filled with real people. Is it out there?

Can you ask renters not to wear shoes in the house? I do not allow shoes to be worn in my home and expect guests to take off theirs when they come in. How do I ask renters and their family and friends take their shoes off?

We have a new pond dug out and has a small spring feeding it. We want to use it to swim. It is about 70 ft by 100 ft. Also about 12-16 ft deep at the center. I have already place Aquashade in it. There are a few frogs in it and I'm afraid the tadpoles will become frogs and ALL stick around. The Mosquito fish question is to keep the Mosquitos down. I hear they will eat everything including other fish included and have 1000's of babies. Are they gonna be a problem also?

We have done everything
1) walked down and asked him to turn it down- many times
2) called the cops at night
3) told the HOA
He owns the home beneath us, and we own our home so it's not like the usual renting situation. The music is so loud it rattles every glass in our house, even some our pictures slant with the vibrations.

I know he views this as cool (or maybe he did once and now just cant hear). And he is rude about it. I went down today since I needed to work at home, and asked him to "turn it down a little" he accused me of being over educated and "tryin' to regulate him". I don't know what to do, it's overwhelmingly loud, it's more then obtrusive.

What's the next step, where do we go, what can we do?

It is the size of a tip of a pen ( super small) Also, I live in Cleveland Ohio and have found it on my desk at work.
